This is living. Sad our school holidays are over and in less than a week we're all back to our normal routines :( but that's ok. We will be at it again at the very next school holidays!

Just cos were not travelling round Oz doesn't mean we don't get to still go to some awesome spots. We are so lucky we live not far from a great few destinations. This lake is our go to for most of our long weekends. We have family here and everytime we go we just have a ripper time. This was Christmas holidays. We spent almost 2 weeks here. And it was excellent.

So we have been home now for over a month and its still so wierd. Liv had asked me at least weekly if we could go back to see the padiles (crocodiles) and go feed them again like we did in darwin. She has such a great time up there! We all did. I miss the travel life 😭 i miss the friends we made and spontaneoulsy running into them at random, and making new friends. I miss the sightseeing and the hikes, and the weather and the moving from one spot to another, i even miss living in my van! And the family time, hanging out all day even if it was just chilling at a beach. Oh the beaches.. omg i miss the beaches!!

Well joy, not even long back in SA and we have all been wiped out. Were all sick 😷🤧🤒 not covid thank goodness but a pretty darn good cold and the 2nd since the early days of this trip! Meh we feel like s**t 😥 and the weather here is matching our mood. Cold and raining. Gee this is def making us wanna turn around and head back to the warmer places...

Today we crossed the border back to S.A. We stood in 2 places at once and the girls loved doing this photo again (we did this 3 years ago) but this time with livvy. Now we are enjoying some time alone with a beautiful fire and some music cranking while being devo this adventure is nearly over 😭 wonder how long it will last before we decide to leave again and do this permenantly!? We've loved this too much to just give up i think. We really arent coping being back in the cold 🥶🤒

Well, we left alice after spending a great 5 nights. Loved it last time we came 3 years ago, and loved it just as much this time. Left here and headed to uluru to see that again and the olgas. We love this place! Something so magical about it! We took the kids and did the full loop around whe whole of uluru on our bikes. It was so amazing to check it all out. Then we stayed to watch the sunset. Still just as beautiful. I couldn't get sick of watching that if i tried! The olgas are pretty "speccy" as dean likes to say (😜 just throwing that in there to see if he reads my posts lol) now off to coober pedy for a night. Another one of our fav places.

Today we stopped at the Devil's Marbles for lunch. Amazing to learn how these rocks formed and how their textures and colors have come through. We all learnt afew things today

My birthday today, bit of shopping this morning and then had some drinks and dinner at the yacht club with a friend from back home. Met some fellow travellers at the club too. Always love meeting new peeps! Having some cake drama atm and kids arent coping but if thats the worst of it then im all good. 🤷‍♀️

Left Katherine and stopped in at edith falls on our way to the next stop. Not a bad little waterfall. Tough hiking for littles though so poor dean at one point had to carry both liv and zoe. What a trooper! Not as good as some of the falls we saw on the gibb though. Stopped over at crab claw island for a couple nights to break up the drive and have some chill time.
