Gillies Excavation & Transport are hiring!

We are looking for a labourer, wages negotiable to the right applicant.

Will be causal with the option of being full time after probation period.

Please note that our work will be based around the Hobart and east coast areas over the next 6months

Job stipulations.

*ideally able to work at heights, within man cage scissor lift etc etc

*Must be able to work unsupervised.

*must be prepared to stay away from home during work weeks.

*must hold current drivers license, heavy rigid truck license an advantage but not essential.

*excavator experience an advantage but not essential.

*willingness to learn and good work ethic.

You will not be expected to travel in your own vehicles, accomodation and meals supplied, while away.

The ideal applicant would be based between devonport and Launceston so you can be picked up on the way.

Busy week for kaden Matt & Jamie this week on our calf shed project, from Monday-Friday we got all the legs in all the hoops bent and on, all the anchors marked out and in.

There are 15 ”berry tunnels” here in blocks of 3, being used for calf sheds.

We do the job start to finish, from the marking out to the plastic!

Today I’m on site with a bloke by the name of Paul Richardson, Paul has been donating his Time here at Elizabeth town for the last week, he has been tidying up a burnt down house for a local man.

His house was burnt down in January, and his insurance company has refused to pay for demolition, this is where Paul has stepped up, he is in my opinion a modern day saint.

Just remember next time you need a job doing, that the big guys aren’t out dontating their time to help out people in need.

Remember the little guys like Paul and myself when you’re next looking for someone to do a job for you.

We have been a bit slow on the Facebook posts lately, but this is what we have been up to for the last 3 months, strawberry tunnels are completely finished.

as of the end of the week the raspberry tunnels will be completely built, less the the trellis which we will be back to do in august!

Yesterday we actually got to use our rock breaker for its intended use, unfortunately for one of our very good customers it wasn’t for the best, due to the wrong batch of concrete being sent out, we had to remove this brand new driveway.

It was good to get to use the breaker, we just wish the circumstances were better!
