Brett and Karen had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Get Yourself Checked Gala Night at Eatons Hill on Friday evening.

An incredible $1 million was raised for this amazing cause! 👏💙

🚛 A SPECIAL SATURDAY AT DDFS – FATHER & SON ON THE ROAD! ❤️

The boss got behind the wheel on Saturday to get a delivery sorted for one of our valued clients!

Brett is still very hands-on in the business and is never one to shy away from jumping into a semi and getting the job done when needed.

But today was a little more special, with Brett sharing the morning on the road with his son, Cody, who jumped behind the wheel of the second truck to lend a hand. 🚛🚛

From teaching Cody to drive when he was little — before he could even see over the steering wheel — to now sharing the road together in two trucks, it’s moments like these that make you realise how special family and business can be.

A proud dad moment and another great memory made out on the road! ❤️

Thanks, Cody, for giving us a hand today. We appreciate it!

Farewell Josh 👋🚛

Yesterday, we said farewell to Josh!

Although Josh has only been part of the DDFS team for a short time, he has learnt so much and has been a valued member of our team.

It’s been great getting to know you, Josh, and we thank you for the time, effort and contribution you’ve made during your time with us.

Josh is now returning to a career he has previously worked in, and we wish him every success as he takes this next step.

All the very best for the future, Josh! Thanks for being part of the DDFS journey, and we hope our paths cross again down the road. 👏

It’s always great to see our DDFS merchandise getting about! 🤠

We were absolutely stoked to see Dejo Andersson wearing his DDFS hat in a recent post!

For those who may not know, Dejo and Christie are Downtown Avenue, a talented country music duo based in Las Vegas, USA. 🇺🇸🎶

A little bit about Downtown Avenue:

🎤 Christie George is a Georgia-raised singer and songwriter, known for her powerful vocals and her work with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

🎸 Dejo Andersson is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, with an impressive international music background spanning recording, production and live performance.

Together, Dejo and Christie are a married country-music duo known for their big live sound, combining vocals, guitar, bass, percussion, looping and plenty of crowd interaction — all performed live without backtracks.

They’ve toured internationally for more than 15 years and have performed at some impressive venues and events, including Ole Red in Las Vegas and NASCAR events. (Downtown Avenue Band⁠)

It’s pretty cool to see a little bit of DDFS – Darling Downs Freight Service making its way from the Western Downs all the way over to America! 🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸

We are a family-based transport company proudly servicing Dalby, the Western Downs, and areas throughout regional Queensland and beyond.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Fleet Control & Logistics Allocation person to join our team in Dalby.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy environment, working with people, organising logistics and being part of a close-knit team.

About the role

The position will involve a variety of administration and logistics duties, including:
● Coordinating and allocating transport jobs
● Communicating with drivers, customers and other team members
● Managing transport schedules and daily operations
● General administration and data entry
● Using computer systems and transport software
● Assisting with the day-to-day running of the transport operation
● Working closely with management and the wider team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

About you

We are looking for someone who is:
● Honest, reliable and trustworthy
● A strong team player
● Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
● Confident with computers and willing to learn new systems
● A good communicator, both verbally and in writing
● Able to work independently and unsupervised
● Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
● Willing to learn and take ownership of the position
● Someone who takes pride in their work and is prepared to become an important part of the business
Knowledge of Dalby and the Western Downs region and the local transport industry would be an advantage, but is not essential.
