The past few months have not been easy.
Fuel costs that jumped almost overnight. Cashflow gaps that don't wait for payment cycles to catch up. Long hours, time away from home, and the pressure of keeping freight moving while managing costs that are harder to absorb every week.
And through all of it, livestock is still being moved. Farms are still being serviced. Regional communities are still being supplied.
That doesn't happen without the people in this industry showing up every single day.
The small family operations running on tight margins. The drivers covering long distances in difficult conditions. The businesses navigating compliance, staffing and customer expectations while fuel bills land before support does.
This industry is essential. Not in a headline way. In a real, practical, food-on-the-table way.
ALRTA will keep pushing for the practical reforms, better access, fairer systems and meaningful support that this industry deserves.
But today, we just want to say thank you.
What you do matters more than most people realise.
