The Olio Bello story began with a vision when an extraordinary American couple fell in love with a rustic cattle farm, situated on undulating land with sweeping views, in Cowaramup, Margaret River. Seeing the opportunity to rehabilitate the land as a vibrant ecosystem, they began revegetating the 320 acre property and planted thousands of native trees and shrubs, introducing olives in 1992. Since then, 10,000 trees comprising 14 different varieties have been planted. Our first olives were harvested in 1998, and since then, Olio Bello has steadily gained industry recognition, becoming one of the most awarded small producers of organic extra virgin olive oil in Australia. Today, Olio Bello is proudly owned by a local group of West Australians and offers a dynamic Cafe and tasting room, farm shop, gourmet and beauty products, luxury glamping accommodation and weddings. Every year, we welcome thousands of visitors from around the world who learn about our commitment to sustainable farming practices and the production of our oils, gourmet and beauty products. We also share our knowledge of the organic lifestyle and health benefits associated with extra virgin olive oil.

A 'Top Secret' FOOBIES Update: Harvest continues at the farm and our fantastic team is working dawn to dusk (and beyond!) to bring in the 'good oil' straight from 'Tree to Press'. Not only is our 'Pieralisi' Italian Pressing Mill operating in overdrive to press the farm's olives, but we're also proudly pressing 'around the clock', for many local growers, across the region! It's a bumper year for the WA Olive Industry and we can't wait to launch our prized and much anticipated 'Liquid Gold' (Olio Nuovo) to our valued Friends of Olio Bello (FOOBIES) in the coming days! It's a Top Secret Operation this year, with a surprise reveal of our Hero Oil - which will be a first in the farm's history, with only 100 Bottles Available in Limited Release. The clean-up has begun at the farm, following the long weekend's rather 'dramatic' start to winter! A few big trees and branches down across the property and a lot of work ahead, but it could have been so much worse! The Farm is Closed Today - Monday 1 June, for the WA Day Long Weekend. We hope everyone is safe following the storm and look forward to 'Re-Opening the Farm Gates' from 10am Tuesday. We are so grateful for this unique part of the world in the magnificent South West - that we get to call home.

Going, going gone! Today, the original Olio Bello sign, on the north-west corner of the property (near Caves Road), which has stood the test of time for more than two decades - 'took flight' to to road side, during the severe storm condtions! Fortunately, one of our fantastic staff members discovered it on her way to work - and moved it safely to the bush! Please take extra care across the South West and Stay Safe, Margaret River and all!

When our talented Head Chef 'Andrea Antonio D'Ambrosio' starts working on a Pasta 'creation', we all know that the end result will always be surprising, seasonal and a bit 'speccy'! As if sweeping a paint brush from the Italian Renaissance through to modern times - it truly is a work of precision planning and fine-chiseled art. One of his recent dishes from the gallery collection, was a striking 'Squid Ink Seafood Tortellini' - featuring Goldband Snapper & WA Prawns with a Seafood Bisque and finished with Cherry Tomatoes, Straticiatella and Leccino Oil. Look out for his daily 'Chef Specials' when next at the farm and experience Andrea & his team's passion for all things Pasta, Local Produce & Olive Oil!
