Natural & man-made shade is available. That being said, the park does have open areas without much shade, especially in more central spaces, so it can get sunny during midday. If shade is a concern, it's best to visit earlier or later in the day to take full advantage of cooler, shaded spots.

Geraldton Youth Precinct 🏀

This space is aimed at the “big kids” with roped bridge like structures and skywalks, table tennis, large swings and a ‘rage cage’ suitable for, netball, cricket or soccer and a basketball half-court.

The signs state this is a 5+ yrs old play space but our 1.5 year old managed to climb the structure and enjoy himself under adult supervision.

Our Recommendation:
This space is a short walk from the free 24 hr self-contained CP car park. Grab some fish n chips from one of the local shops and spend the afternoon here relaxing on your picnic rug and enjoying the ocean views while the kids play.

Where do we even begin? This play space truly has it all! Split into 3 distinct areas, it’s designed to cater to all ages and abilities.

Playground Areas:
1. Fenced Playground: Right next to the café, you'll find a fenced area with a ocean themed playground with amphitheater-style seating — perfect for those snack breaks. There's also a toddler-friendly corner with low-to-the-ground equipment.

2. Unfenced Playground: Just a few steps away, an open area for older kids featuring climbing structures, slides all with a pirate/boat theme.

3. Splash Park: A little further down, you'll discover a fenced splash park with plenty of water spouts and fun water canyons for the kids to enjoy.

Plus, this spot is just a 400m walk from the 24-hour overnight & caravan parking area, making it a perfect stop for travelling families.
