Ullman Sails Whitsunday

We were proud to be an official sponsor of the 62nd Sabot Nationals held at the Whitsunday Sailing Club in Airlie Beach. The event ran from 28th December 2025 to 3rd January 2026 with 55 young sailors competing across nine championship races. On Layday 51 children got to experience a sail on the Ullman Sails Whitsunday Extreme 40 a special thanks to Blair Mitchell, Aaron Linton , Jamie Jochheim for crewing the boat, Amy Linton for her organisational prowess and Shannan Hart for running everyone out and back on the tender and to all who contibuted to the days huge success.

As one of the major sponsors of Airlie Beach Race Week 2025, we would like to thank the Whitsunday Sailing Club and all the volunteers that made this regatta a huge success. We had a number of staff members racing and enjoying the regatta throughout the week with challenging conditions. Plenty of sail repairs were done everyday when the boys got off the water! Thanks to all the customers who brought their sails in.
We had a couple of podium finishes:
Paul skipper on Ullman Sails X40 - 2nd in Multihull Racing Div 1
Bill crewing on Trojan - 3rd In Multihull Racing Div 2
Jesse Skipper on Kiss - 2nd Sports Boats Div 1
Joe crewing on Bohica - 7th Sports Boats Div 1 due to techincal difficulties on day one and a collision on day 6
Rob Crewing on Cutsnake for 3 days - 1st in Multihull Racing Div 1.

Meet Nick! (although most people already know Nick!😀) Nick heads up our marine trimming department. He joined Ullman Sails Whitsunday in January 2021 as an apprentice and has developed into a highly skilled tradesman! Nick's level of knowledge in the marine field is outstanding, and he has been an active sailor all his life.

Meet Joe! Joe has been a sailmaker at Ullman Sails Whitsunday since July 2021. He is a valued team member and enjoys getting out on the water, yacht racing or fishing in his tinny. Come into the loft for any repairs or new sails.
