Tasmania Highlights – Day One! 🚌🌿

Bright and early this morning, our driver Reece rolled the coach off the Spirit of Tasmania and headed straight to Launceston Airport, ready and waiting as our guests flew in with Tour Leader Liz.

Everyone passed the sniffer check with flying colours 🐾 , and then off to Cataract Gorge: stunning scenery, fresh air, and a ride on the chairlift gliding high above the gorge.

And Reece? After all that driving, he decided the best way to unwind was to just… hang around 😄 Photo proof below!

The group enjoyed a delightful morning tea catered by Tour Leader - Liz at the Snowy Hydro Centre ☕🍰, followed by a warm welcome and a browse at the Bombala Platypus Country Information Centre. Then came the highlight – a surprise sighting of the elusive platypus from the viewing platform! 👀✨ Lunch at the Nimmitabel Bakery, rounded off the day before a comfortable trip home.

Today is a big day for the Murray River, and for everyone who has been waiting patiently with us.

After years in the making, the PS Australian Star has officially set sail from Echuca. The anticipation has been building for a long time, and we know many of our guests have been following every update.

To those who stuck with us through two postponed sailings: thank you. We know it wasn't easy. Seeing this beautiful paddlesteamer on the water makes us even more excited for what's ahead. ❤️

Our PS Australian Star & Riverland Trail of Lights tour is now on for 29 August – 7 September 2027.
