Meet September's Authors

🚋📚 A new month of Light Rail Local Reads begins today.

Throughout September we're inviting commuters to discover two new books from acclaimed local authors:

📖 Five Found Dead by Sulari Gentill
📖 Legacy by Chris Hammer

One is a locked-room mystery aboard the world's most famous train, where a killer is hiding among the passengers of the Orient Express.

The other is an Australian crime thriller that follows journalist Martin Scarsden into the outback as secrets, history and danger collide.

Whether you're reading on the light rail, at home, or borrowing books through Libraries ACT, we'd love you to join us.

We've travelled from a suspicious death in a library to the transformation of Canberra into a city of trees. If you haven't started yet, there's still time. Reading journeys don't run to a schedule. But keep an eye out next week as we introduce our September featured books.

One of our August authors recalls once '...so absorbed by a Matthew Reilly novel that I kept reading it after I got off, and I walked straight into the back of a parked car.'
