🇦🇺 TRANSPORT IS THE BACKBONE OF AUSTRALIA’S ECONOMY — DON’T LET IT COLLAPSE!
Transport in Australia is not just about moving goods from one place to another. It is the backbone of our economy, connecting industries, businesses, farmers, manufacturers, retailers, and everyday Australians.
🚛 When transport struggles, the entire supply chain suffers.
Every product we use daily — food, groceries, medicines, clothing, construction materials, and essential household goods — depends on a reliable transport network. If transport businesses cannot operate sustainably because of rising operating costs, unfair competition, or pressure on freight rates, the consequences will eventually reach every Australian household.
Driving transport costs down at any cost is not a sustainable solution.
When freight rates fall below the level needed to cover fuel, wages, vehicle maintenance, insurance, compliance, and other operating expenses, transport operators struggle to survive. Small and family-owned transport businesses may be forced to shut down, drivers may lose their livelihoods, and industries that depend on reliable freight services may face serious disruptions.
And when transport fails, industries suffer. When industries suffer, supply chains weaken. Ultimately, ordinary Australians may face shortages, higher prices, fewer choices, and reduced access to essential products.
Foreign investment can bring benefits, but it must not come at the expense of Australian businesses, workers, or national interests. The government should ensure a level playing field, enforce fair competition rules, and prevent any company — domestic or foreign — from using excessive market power to squeeze local transport operators.
We need to stop the Foreign investors to ruin the market who are offering transport services at cheaper rates with no fleet in their hand, just sitting in their 4x4 room doing operations.
A strong transport industry means a stronger Australia.
If we allow the transport sector to become economically unsustainable, we risk weakening the very industries that keep our nation running and supply the products we depend on every day.
🇦🇺 Protect transport. Protect Australian industries. Protect Australian livelihoods. Protect our supply chains.
Because when transport suffers, Australia feels the impact.
