Building a business as a sole trader means I’m the one doing the work, answering the phones, and managing the schedules. I am doing everything in my power to get your jobs finished, but there’s one big hurdle I can’t jump over: supplier delays.
Waiting for products is the hardest part of the job because it’s completely out of my hands.
To help me keep things moving fairly for everyone, here is how I’m managing the schedule:
When the call comes: As soon as your materials arrive, I’ll ring you to get on-site immediately.
Keeping the flow: Because I have a long list of people waiting, if that specific day doesn't work for you, I have to move on to the next job to keep the momentum going. This means your project will unfortunately have to be rescheduled for the next available opening at the end of the current queue.
Kindness counts: I know the wait is frustrating—I feel it too! But please remember to stay patient and respectful on the phone. Abusive talk doesn’t get the materials here any faster, and it makes it much harder for me to do my best work for you.
I truly appreciate those who have shown me grace and understanding. I’m working hard to get to every single one of you! 🛠️
