MINISTERIAL BRIEF – LANTANA REMOVAL QUEENSLAND GROUP
For Many people who Own or have bought lantana infested properties throughout QLD and NSW without first understanding the Costs involved in dealing with these materials then there is a massive awakening and in big infestations often Decades or Generations of failed options.
Sadly you cannot connect properly to people prior to their need, so I get bombarded by people wanting free advice on what they should do with their disastrous choices in life.
For me our Family history is interlinked to Lantana generationally with a large part of my Passion and 50 years of History is from Permanent eradication solutions in the field directly and permanently eradicating these materials in Steep and swamp country.
For many people who are new to this devastating and Deadly W**d then cannot understand or make sense of just how costly this material is to deal with.
Firstly Under Federal Bio Security LAW, or lets call that Obligations it calls for every land owner or Manager to eradicate Lantana at its source and NOT to allow it to leave the infested area or property.
1. Now as I have no equal in Australia in Permanent Lantana eradication in the field my results are the Gold standard in Best Practice and proven results. So I have to say if Australia as a Nation followed the Federal Mandate then we would have saved Trillions of Dollars in land lost, Land Burned, Assets destroyed and Homes and Families Destroyed from the Endless sea of these materials illegally flowing down stream unchecked and un encumbered from the primary infestations on the Mountain Ranges controlled by NPWS and I must say Illegally and Immorally.
2. Why Did this happen? Well that is easier to explain, its all about the Money and Government loyalties at the expense of the National Interests in Bio Security. So Firstly whatever money the Federal Government Gifts to State and Local Governments they steal, so there is no nice way to cover up those facts, the very same situation extends to every single department that has the same issue, so Translink, Water resource management, NPWS, Corrections ETC, ETC down the list.
SO you ask why is your land illegally infested by everyone above your elevation or for a clearer picture Upstream. Its because all of those entities did not apply their legal and Moral obligations under Federal Law because once they allowed this catastrophe to unfold then they couldn’t ask land owners to meet their legal obligations.
3. In 50 years of successful permanent eradication I have watched this play out in horror and disbelief that entire departments suck billions of dollars from our Communities and Nation just by existing and worse over regulating what YOU can and Cannot do without ever having a single clue about the utter devastation and wilful destruction of Every single ecosystem and habitat from the Tops of our Mountain Ranges to our Beaches and dunes, our Fragile Estuaries.
This all happened because the entities that are directly responsible for this continuous sea of materials flowing illegally downstream. They claimed 30 years ago that they gave up on something that could not be given up on legally or Morally because they could not afford to beat the materials on their lands which was BS.
I accept that they are clueless badly trained, well actually no training at all, but they were trapped in the positions of not being able to force people to eradicate lantana on their own lands because Councils and the State Government were no longer even attempting any meaningful operations.
They tried unsuccessfully to use Chemicals a serious waste of time and energy, Mulching which is fantastic to culling the last bit of flora that still competed with the lantana and leave the entire root system perfectly ready to completely take over in the next year or so.
But there is nothing harder than to fight 3 levels of Complete Government lack of Knowledge of Capacity to deal with the Insanity they rained down illegally across every surface at a lower elevation, so effectively they created a Super Monster which then Created Super Firestorms which you have seen all through your lives and now is blamed on Climate Change and has absolutely nothing to do with that.
In 2018 Firestorms Created History in the Vegetation world in Mackay, the DRNME department had to completely rethink everything that they had taught their Staff. Entire Old Growth forest was obliterated, Old Growth trees simply Vaporized in front of the Firestorm.
Before that date they had used Rain Forests as the Buffer to stop this insanity, but History was being written from Criminal Neglect of 40 years of no management and the Fires Consumed the entire rainforest so morally questionable inaction changed forever the reality and you never got to hear anything about this.
4. So what am I trying to do here?
I am waking people up to some facts and the scientific data and studies are terrifyingly available and the Dates that they knew exactly what they unleashed on every Australian Community and Land owning Family illegally was for me shocking.
Much of the Knowledge is more than 30 to 50 years old and its peer reviewed so its considered Fact and I can tell you as a Proud First Nations Awabakal Elder with no equal in Permanent Lantana Eradication operating in Mountainous and swamp terrain for all of that time in Stage 3 Infestations then its exactly correct.
Deadly Tick Bourne Diseases ravaged our NPWS workers who were sacked and left to fend for themselves.
Chemicals and Bio logical wastes of Money never worked in permanent eradication and put lives at risk handling deadly poisons and people died there to.
Fire Storms flowed like water from all of our National Parks for the last 20 years throughout NSW and QLD in fact for nearly a Decade every major fire came off those Government Lands.
Fire fighters died on Forestry tracks that were not maintained in vegetation that had not been managed in some cases of 30 to 50 years and why I hear you ask, Because there was no money or knowledge apparently on how to eradicate lantana.
Fuel ladders Climbed into the canopies for Forests on steep terrain which was why suddenly we had firestorms claimed as Climate change.
Because of BMAD in our Native Hardwood forests killing Billions of trees throughout NSW to the Tip of QLD since 1991 when it was Named and peer reviewed and accepted as fact.
Yes I am being blunt here we have seen entire faces of mountain range country landslide into mountains of stockpiled rocket fuel for when the next Firestorm event happens.
Some of the worst events happen because Governments failed our Nation at every level because of their misinformation machine, then they convene Public Royal Commissions to further white wash the Catastrophes that happened.
I once tried to take part in one of those as the only Expert in these materials from the Field and I was told something that everyone needs to know.
Royal Commissions are never called until the Government has set the terms and parameters of it, so they never allow one to happen that they have not already stacked the deck.
So they Thanked me for my impressive history and knowledge but then said that they were unable to consider input from experts like me because their terms were only to look at what the Government specifically set.
So never get facts get in the way is their motto.
SO Stage 3 infestations expand at 1 acre will get you 4 acres downstream in dry conditions illegally and immorally.
But here is what they never wanted you to know, if we add water to that mix then 1 acre on water rich environments will get you 10 acres downstream.
But again on a roadway water shed then I believe that is doubled again because any water no matter how dry an area is, it is then funnelled directly to these plants with beautiful channels feeding into every waterway below that elevation heading to the creeks, rivers, sea.
In 50 years I have personally seen entire forests of illegal lantana with ZERO fauna traffic under them for Decades.
In fact this untold fact opens into Fire ants and the Failed Bio security mission today, where they fly over and throw chemical baits out to provide the illusion that they are trying to do something.
But in Stage 3 infestations this is just a illusion and a Gross waste of taxpayer dollars but hey it creates jobs and costs.
So with deadly tick borne diseases headed to your parks and walkways, waterways in your suburb for your children and families then this all opens much more Community Health issues as this landscape wide Biosecurity nightmare explodes in your suburb.
With the Devastating firestorms coming to local suburbs near you in the future when conditions are right we will see massive deaths and losses in our streets.
The interesting facts around this is in the last 20 years we moved to Ariel firefighting, have you ever asked why that is?

Oh that is easy its because of the Firestorms that they created and the facts that they are now multi State explosions or world events here and in the USA.
But the Grim reality here is someone choses which suburb or state gets priority, if an island like Fraser Island gets saved or burned to the ground because the fire assets sat in Bundaberg while the fires destroy world heritage listed history?
Someone decided not to fly assets that we were paying for anyway?
What happens when its your community and your family and friends, your homes and assets that are chosen to sacrifice because their needed in a more important neighbourhood?
SO why look into these Facts today?
Its because we lose more land to Lantana every year by 10 times then all the lands cleared and something to ponder is when land is cleared for development its useful, it poses no risk to the Nation and Flora and Fauna can come back into those lands.
Stage 3 infestations from the Mountain Ranges to the sea are devastating in all the listed known and documented facts above.
But fires are the greatest mass event that will come, or are they?
Zero life under stage 3 infestations and With BMAD the birds are driven off as well, all of the Fauna that occupied Trees are long gone and this expands like compounding interest every year unchecked and unmanaged.
Sciences and Universities are owned and run by Governments so the money stops flowing for Failed stupid programs.
Land care are a unsuccessful money pit as are all other community based programs used as a distraction to claim we are doing something.
But the Fact is these materials destroy more land yearly and completely remove all fauna and devastate flora.
The Solution Is to create and run a $25 million dollar training and permanent eradication programs through QLD and Then NSW over a 3 year training program all run off the purchase price listed above.
This would be revolutionary and begin on the day the funds are paid because for the first time State and local Government would be removed from the money stealing pits that they are and the money is focused directly on eradicating and training networks with the Intellectual and proven methodology in large scale operations which create work forces that do not exist today but should have existed 50 years ago because my passion has never died or wavered from the annihilation of these materials over our lands.

WE have so little extra water available today and a hatred of building dams that this scenario Is terrifying to me because we should for all the reasons listed above be taking this all so seriously.

Operational Experience and Proven Results

In more than 50 years operating machinery directly in the heart of lantana infestations, across many terrains and wet environments, I have personally witnessed the full environmental impact of these infestations.

As a First Nations Elder with decades of on-ground operational experience, I can state clearly that within advanced Stage 3 infestations, ground life effectively disappears.

Across decades of work in dense infestations I have observed:

Australian forests evolved over thousands of years with fire regimes dominated by low-intensity ground fires moving through grasslands and open understory.

Many native species rely on these mild fires for regeneration.

However, the spread of lantana has disrupted this natural balance.

With the way that Lantana Spreads and consumes everything in its path illegally then your responsibilities have serious costs attached.
I have no equal in the world in Lantana Eradication over the Past 40 Years and this means long term results are the cheapest available and actually the only ones that work.
When you consider the costs of allowing lantana to flow onto or off your land is actually an Environmental offence and legally you can be held accountable for all damages downstream.
Because Lantana Camara is the total destruction of all native species, both flora and fauna when it reaches stage 2 and Stage 3 levels of an infestation then we will see prosecutions for these materials being released into Environmentally significant lands very soon.
Because it burns like petrol and is the cause of all the massive fires we have seen in the last 10 Years through Queensland and NSW and why the Firefighters tried to warn us that they had no understanding or answers as to why these fires were they hottest and wildest they have ever encountered, But then the United Nations came up with the super tax called Climate Change and working with Governments they continued this Farce to try to draw attention away from the fact that if you do the math on expansion and lean to the conservative side then we lose in Australia around 4 to 6 million hectares of land to Lantana Camara per year and it increases so soon it is 8 to 10 million and so on. But the Scientific Facts are easily worked out, what is not is why have no scientists ever blown the whistle on the Federal Government, State Government and Councils Corruption that causes these loses every year at a cost of around $100 Billion dollars just for the Increases. Well, I guess we need to Ask the Premiers of NSW and QLD why they illegally lowered its classification around 2016 and illegally created Australia's worst environmental Disaster in our History?
Why did the Prime Ministers allow this to happen to Australian Land Owners who illegally have had these materials flowing from National Parks lands for 5 decades onto their lands and waterways?
Over the Next 10 years, we will see the fires exploding for ever more until we create the National Capitol works program and deal with the fires before they leave the National Parks, We must also work out how did they cover up the 20 Million Hectares Currently under completely destruction today and why are we allowing National parks to consume 15% more lands each year for destruction when they openly state they cannot deal with what they have today?
Our children are the ones that have had their futures stolen by the Premiers and Prime Ministers who have allowed the corruption within the Public service to create these fires.
They did this because legally they are responsible for supplying the money and solutions to meet their LEGAL obligations to the Nation and they sold us all down the river without any moral considerations for the deaths of everything in the paths of these materials.
Soon we will see the facts consume them and hopefully they will be remembered throughout our history for these actions and the costs that are easily researched.
Being an indigenous Elder and Having not equal in the world in Lantana Camara eradication then I have been confronted with these crimes for many decades and seen the costs socially, economically, and physically take their toll on Communities all across our Nation but the corruption that they run is very strong and with silencing all Public servants as they have, then no one internally can ever speak out or they will go to Jail.
So I fight this war continuously until the fires create such a loss of human life that the public then comes after the Premiers and Prime Ministers and give them no quarter which they do not deserve.
Because for over 5 years now I have made sure they are aware of these facts and that the days are numbered before the entire hierarchy of corruption comes crashing down on them and we the Public and first nations people trace back the Environmental Disaster that they knew about all the time but because our Nation was Bankrupted long before COVID-19 they were never going to deal with the destruction of 10 and 20 Million Hectares of Burnt out National Parks per year.
Today we have farmers desperately fighting to protect themselves from National Parks Criminals who have illegally release lantana Camara into all waterways for the last 100 years or more, which illegally flowed onto private lands and out into our bays and Islands. Every time I asked National parks about this illegal operation they quoted there is no money to deal with any of it, there is no knowledge in the Government or their Scientists to deal with this, But here is a Fact for you In Australia, You Cannot claim you do not have the funds or resources to deal with an Environmental Disaster you are creating and you cannot allow these materials to leave your infested lands and enter any other lands and you can search this in the BioSecurity Act 2014.
In there you will find the Courts Responsibilities in regards to the Act, Then at the very least National Parks and TMR (Main Roads) Public Servants had a legal responsibility to go to the Premiers and Prime Ministers and Demand Funding to meet these legal obligations to not only every living thing but to Our entire Nation because it is us and our Children that pay the price for this level of Corruption and wilful destruction.
