MAAQ Model Aeronautical Association of Queensland MAAQ is the state organisation for model aeronautical clubs in Queensland and is affiliated nationally with MAAA (Model Aeronautical Assoc of Australia)

The Model Aeronautical Association of Queensland is the peak state body representing around 60 Queensland aeromodelling clubs. Our member clubs and affiliates are represented nationally by MAAA and in turn affiliated to the international sport aviation body Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) through the Australian Sports Aviation Confederation (ASAC). MAAQ provides for its members throug

h MAAA:
- public liability, personal injury, and executive insurance.
- a framework of rules and regulations for the safe operation of model aircraft.
- an access pathway to enter national, international, and world championship competitions.
- recognition by CASA as a model aviation authority.

Event incoming - for those local or average Joe who wants to come check out all things heli - Friends of Loganholme Aeromodellers (LARCS) Public Group are hosting the upcoming Boomstrike RC Heli Festival in July.
Here is the listed program for how the 3 days of heli action. Open to the public time included.

If you fly helis, or just want to watch on, MAAA members or public alike get in touch with the guys and check it out. Their is some international guests going to be their along with a solid following of industry vendors as well. We hear even FrSky Steve is on board with the guys from Hammerhead RC.
