TWO OF THE BEST - FOR SALE! Proud to be involved in the creation and recreation of not one, but two absolutely gorgeous power catamarans, both of which have reached the market at the same time. Although they have very different offerings to each other, both show the same impeccable finish and detail you’d expect from modern powercats at a fraction of the replacement cost. If you’re in the market for a 12m or 14m power cat, reach out for contact details.

And the Winter slipping season has begun! Like most traditional boatyards on the east coast of Australia, the tides suitable for slippings all fall after dark for the next few months. Shout out to those who swim in the dark of night to help keep the industry afloat 👌🏼

Who wants to go racing?!?!

Another smoko time discussion lead me to the design plan drawer to dig out this concept measuring 60’ x 54’ (18.28m x 16.4m) displacing 6800kg. As inscribed on the hull and the mainsail, it was designed circa 1985 and to be built under a sponsorship deal with the Plywood Association of Australia for the 1988 Around Australia Race. I might be bias, but I think this is another timeless design that would still be relevant on the racing circuit today. And maybe even better with an updated sail plan. Maybe … 😉

Lucky last launch for the year! ‘Chose Sauvagé’ (previously catatonic) apparently the first Windspeed 29 out of the mould returned to the water with some super neat walk up transoms sporting large steerable kick up rudder cassettes. Keen eyes will also notice that she’s had a small but practical bridge deck cabin added. A very big thank you to Kym for choosing for the second time. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the transformation and we hope she provides you with many safe journeys into the future.

These are the hands of a small business. These are the hands that mend all the broken things around here, type all the emails, send out the invoices and pay all the bills. They are also the hands that slip the boats and answer the phone.

We sometimes get the feedback that we can be a little bit hard to get hold of on the phone and this is the reason why! If I’m fixing some machinery or swimming in the creek then my phone can’t be in my pocket. It’s very important that you leave me the most detailed message you can so I can get onto helping you as soon as my hands are clean. Please be patient and I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for your support, our small business depends on it. 😁👋🏼
