There’s a moment at every art fair where something stops you completely.
This week, Georgie .dordie.art and I spent an evening at the wandering, discovering, and getting completely lost in the work of so many incredible artists.
What gets me every single time is that every piece on those walls came from someone’s hands, someone’s mind, someone’s 3am moment of clarity or frustration or joy.
Every single artist sees something the rest of us miss. And then they make you see it too.
That’s the thing about talent. It’s not one size. It’s completely, beautifully individual.
We visited a bunch of our Ruby Olive artists. Saw their work in a completely different light. Stood in front of their incredible canvas’ where normally we’d be looking at them on bags and towels. Honestly, I was filled with so much emotion.
Go find art that stops you. It’s worth it.
