DM or email: [email protected] I’m absolutely obsessed with travel — whether it's planning our next adventure, reminiscing about past trips, or diving into research for the be

st family spots to explore. It’s tough to pick, but some of my favorite travel destinations include Hawaii, Disneyland, Mauritius, Maldives, Croatia, Czech Republic, the USA, New Zealand, and Singapore. We’ve got some exciting trips coming up, too — the Cook Islands, Exmouth (to see turtle hatching!), Pemberton (family trip), Japan, and hopefully Hong Kong Disneyland! After taking a career break to raise my children, I’m now making a big leap back into the workforce by opening my own business. Starting The Family Travel Studio is a dream come true for me, and something I wish I had done sooner (I’m 45 now), but I’m so grateful for the chance to follow my passion. I truly understand the quirks and challenges of traveling with kids, and I'm here to guide you through the whole process. I’m passionate about helping families create their own incredible memories and bucket-list adventures. Send me a message, and let’s get started on planning your next family getaway!

Considering Hong Kong with your family?

Most people think of it as a stopover or a business destination, but it’s a great option for family holidays too.

Hong Kong Disneyland is a standout. Being a smaller park, it's easier to navigate, queue times are manageable without extra passes, and you don't need months of planning or a strategy to get through everything you want. It's the most relaxed Disney experiences we've had.

Getting around is straightforward - the MTR, Ding Dings, and taxis cover everything you need. The food is a genuine highlight: egg tarts, bubble waffles, wonton noodles, BBQ meats, and herbal tea the kids will pull a face at but try anyway. There's the challenge of tackling the 268 stairs up to the Big Buddha with an ice cream at the end as your reward. The Peak Tram at dusk gives you the city in daylight and then you watch it come to life at night - albeit while hip-and-shouldering others going for the same view!

A week is the right amount of time, with a couple of days at Disneyland built in. It's not too far from Perth either - just under eight hours on the way over, six on the way back.

If it's been on your radar, give Hong Kong the time it deserves.

What would you do first in Hong Kong?

Japan skiing with kids - easier than you think, better than you imagined!
Ever heard of butt skiing? We invented it on an advanced ski run we had absolutely no business being on 😅😆

I am shocked 😲 Hair-dryer, pillows and blankets!
Reminds me of the Friends episode where Ross and Chandler take everything from the hotel room that's not bolted down!

My clients were all set for a well-deserved luxury resort getaway. Before their departure, the supplier came back with unexpected news — their included airport transfer couldn't meet their flight, and a private alternative would cost them an extra $900 out of pocket.

My answer? No. Absolutely not.

I went straight back to my supplier and made it clear — I wasn't accepting this, I wanted discussions, and I wanted them now. I wasn't about to pass a $900 bill without knowing that I’d tried absolutely everything in my power to avoid that charge.

Together, we pushed the accommodation provider to hold a meeting with their head of departments. They reshuffled their schedules and made it work with no extra cost, no stress, no nasty surprises for my clients.

They will get to sit back and enjoy their holiday while I handled the tricky things behind the scenes. That's exactly what I'm here for.

This is the value of having a travel advisor in your corner. If they'd booked direct, that $900 bill would have landed squarely on their shoulders as they would have had no one to fight for them.

Learn from me - don't travel through the US with a "white powdery substance!" Oops.

Thankfully they could tell pretty quickly it wasn't anything suspicious.

Next time- laundry sheets!
