Limited access. Tight timeframes. Regional rail that can’t stop.

Here’s how the team delivered a full track reconstruction at Clergate using rail-based logistics, mechanised coordination, and one goal - keep the network moving.

Rail R U OK? Day is a reminder that behind every hi-vis vest and long shift is a mate, a friend, and a family.

Our song, “Check On Ya Mate,” is a message of connection and support - about the friendships we build on and off the tracks, the laughs shared, the tough times we push through together, and the importance of checking in on one another.

This video features footage from across the years - from moments, projects, and people who will always be part of the journey of where we are today. Whether you work with us now or did once upon a time, this is for you: our rail community.

💛 We created this song to share this important message far and wide, and we hope it’s only the beginning. We would love more teams to join us in the years to come. If you would like to be included in this next year, please reach out to us.

Rail Safety Week 2025

Brimble's Safety Manager, Trent Dewar, attended the Rail Safety Week Moment of Reflection in Werris Creek hosted by Transport for NSW and Tracksafe.

The messages from this important event reinforce the work we’re already doing at Brimble to strengthen safety at every level, including:

-Reviewing policies and procedures to ensure they’re clear, relevant, and practical.
-Updating SWMS to include direct input from the workers who perform the tasks.
-Reviewing pre-start checks on equipment to strengthen hazard identification.
-Assessing our permits-to-work process to better support safe decision-making.
-Reviewing our vocational competencies to ensure they align with current operational and safety requirements.

His key takeaway this week? Safety doesn't just live in procedures. Every action matters, and the choices we make each day are what ensure we all go home safe at the end of every shift.

Thanks for all you do for our team, Trent, and wishing a safe year ahead to our colleagues across the industry.

Brimble was out in force last week for the Hunter Valley Close Down with four machines over four days. TMS400 & TMS055 worked in the north at Muswellbrook. TMS373 & TMS323 handled the south from Branxton to Singleton. Our teams tamped over seven kilometres of plain track and five turnouts.

We’re happy to report we had 100% availability of our machines and zero incidents during the close down, helping these lines run efficiently for the region. Thank you to Australian Rail Track Corporation Ltd. - ARTC, and fantastic work all around!

Celebrating NAIDOC Week.

Last week, the Brimble team headed to the Glenrock State Conservation Area for a guided tour about the cultural significance of the land and the native plants used for food, shelter and medicinal purposes by the Traditional Owners.

Unfortunately, the windy weather had other ideas, so we opted for the amazing MAC yapang - Museum of Art and Culture, yapang for a day of appreciation and reflection, with plans to reschedule our walk in the near future.
