๐ TRAM UPDATE (with love from the team) ๐
First up, a massive THANK YOU for your patience and understanding while our trams are having a little lie-down. You've all been absolute legends about it. โค๏ธ
We're still working through the fault with our 600V DC sub-station and don't have an ETA on return to service just yet, but rest assured the team is on the job.
Now, we know what you're thinking, so let's head a few off at the pass:
โ
Yes, we've turned it off and on again.
โ
Yes, we've spoken to it nicely.
โ
Yes, we've said please AND thank you.
โ
Yes, it's definitely plugged in.
โ
No, hitting it did not help (we didn't really hit it... much).
โ
And no, a cup of tea and a stern look haven't fixed it either.
Turns out 100-year-old heritage tram technology is a touch more complicated than a dodgy Wi-Fi router. Who knew. ๐คท
Here's the good bit though: while the trams are resting, we're offering FREE Depot Tours of our Tramways Workshop. Come behind the scenes and see where the magic (and the maintenance) happens. It's a rare chance to get up close to our heritage fleet and meet the team keeping these old beauties running.
We'll keep you posted the moment we have news on services. Thanks again, Bendigo. You're the best. ๐งก
