Black Swan Aviation is a smaller General Aviation maintenance facility located at Ballina Byron Gateway Airport the far north coast of NSW. We have vacancies for AME’s and people experienced in all facets of fixed wing general aviation maintenance. We maintain a diverse range of piston engine aircraft from private ownership to commercial operations. The successful applicants will be reporting to the Chief Engineer. Ideally the applicant would have experience on all types of Cessna, Piper and Beechcraft GA aircraft. Ballina is located on the north coast of NSW 2 hours drive south of Brisbane and 1 hour south of the Gold Coast. We have stunning surf beaches and a beautiful hinterland. Matt Hall's MXS-R tucked away for the night at Black Swan Aviation, Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. 2019 Red Bull Air Race World Champion and former RAAF fighter pilot Matt Hall will be conducting aerobatics on the river at Ballina at approximately 3pm Saturday ( weather permitting ) to help raise money for the Northern Rivers Aero Club who lost pretty much everything in the 2022 floods.

Black Swan Aviation is looking for a self motivated, hard working, enthusiastic and reliable person with a good work ethic to join our small team as a hangar assistant. Main duties will include but are not limited to general tasks to assist with aircraft maintenance, delivering parts and hangar upkeep. Ability to use general tools is a must, with the ability to drive a manual car a preference. Successful applicants will need to undergo a police background check for security card approval to work at the airport. Initial position will be casual with up to 40 hours per week and is based at Ballina Airport with the odd trip to other airfields in the district.
