Shipping a rare, $16,000 Sicotronic unit to Germany for repairs isn't something you want to leave to chance. Because it's an incredibly hard-to-find piece of machinery, our customer needed to know it would survive the long haul without a scratch.

The trick to protecting fragile tech like this is completely eliminating movement. We wrapped it in multiple layers of foam and bubble wrap, packed out the empty space inside the box, and finished it off with plenty of fragile tape. It safely made it to the manufacturer for its repairs, which is exactly the result we were aiming for.
