Another weekend away. This time enjoyed camping on the banks of the Avoca river for two nights. Summerfield winery was a pleasant way to spend a few hours on Saturday.

Thoroughly enjoyed our last few days in Bright and the roadtrips from there. Home now and back to work tomorrow.

Have had some great day trips from Bright: Wangaratta; Beechworth and Stanley; Mt Beauty and Bogong Village; Reedy Creek and Yackandandah; and a visit to Brown Brothers winery today for tastings and lunch.

Has been very comfortable in the van (Lola). Thank goodness we have a powered site as I don’t think the solar panels would keep the air conditioning going. Looking forward to a cooler day tomorrow.

Arrived at Bright this afternoon. Our base for the next ten nights.

First trip away in our van.

Detoured in to Violet Town hoping to catch ip with a friend, Donna, whom I went to uni with 40 years ago. Her and her sisters have a cafe in town but unfortunately it was closed today. Hopefully will see her on the way home.

Stopped at Glenrowan tonight - free camp at the back of the pub. Haven’t come across any bushrangers yet 🤞

A few hands of euchre in the pub whilst enjoying the air conditioning and cold drinks. Couldn’t believe my very first hand. Talk about a fistful (nearly) of hearts! Pete didn’t get to play his impressive hand as I made it diamonds. Best of three games - I’m the champ so far 2:1.
