As the days heat up, small daily habits can make a big difference in how you feel. Looking after your body helps you stay comfortable, safe and energised.

Wellness reminders:

- Hydrate: Sip water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty
- Protect yourself: Light clothing, sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat go a long way
- Eat fresh: Enjoy summer fruits and lighter meals for energy
- Rest smart: Take breaks in cool, shaded or air-conditioned spaces
- Stay connected: Call a friend, share a meal or enjoy a hobby - mental health matters too!

At Driving Miss Daisy, we care about your wellbeing year round and are here to help you reach the places, people and activities that keep you thriving.

For all enquiries and bookings, please contact Sonya at Driving Miss Daisy Aldinga on 0461 345 547 or email [email protected] 💛

Remember When…

Sunday night dinners brought everyone together - the table set, the roast in the oven and stories flowing as easily as the tea.

Sometimes it was Nan’s famous trifle, other times it was fish and chips by the beach. But no matter the meal, it was about laughter, connection and belonging.

At Driving Miss Daisy, we know that those simple traditions are what make life meaningful. We’re here to help our clients keep making memories with the people and meals they love most.

What was a favourite dish or family tradition from your Sunday dinners?

Booking with Driving Miss Daisy is simple and stress free!

Just give us a call on 0461 345 547! We'll take the time to understand your needs, where you’re going, when you’d like to travel and any support you might need along the way.

Once your trip is arranged, we’ll confirm all the details with you and make sure you feel comfortable and prepared for the day. Whether it’s a one-off appointment or regular weekly outings, your Daisy will arrive at your door, assist you safely to the car and accompany you throughout the trip if needed.

From the moment we pick you up at your door to when we bring you safely home again, our service is about more than transport - it’s about making every journey comfortable, safe and enjoyable. Our Daisies are companions too, ready to lend a hand, share a chat and make your day that little bit brighter.

Today is World Kindness Day!

Kindness doesn’t always have to be grand gestures. Often, it’s the smallest moments that mean the most. At Driving Miss Daisy, we see it every day:

- A neighbour dropping in to check on a friend
- The friendly smile of a Daisy helping a client into the car
- The joy of a story shared on the way to an appointment
- Someone simply taking the time to listen.

These everyday acts create connections, brighten lives and remind us of the importance of looking out for one another.

On World Kindness Day, we celebrate the many ways kindness shows up in our communities - big and small. Together, they build the support, comfort and companionship that truly matter.

How will you share kindness today?

Today we honour all members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty to protect our freedoms. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones.

We also thank those who continue to serve with courage and resilience.

Lest we forget. 🌺

With a little support and a lot of heart, the possibilities are endless. 🌼💛

Meet Chris McCausland – a much-loved British comedian who began losing his sight due to a rare condition called retinitis pigmentosa.

Last year, Chris took a bold leap into the unknown by joining Strictly Come Dancing – one of the UK’s most high-profile television shows. Not only was he the first blind contestant to ever compete, he went on to win the whole competition! 💃🕺

But Chris’s story is about so much more than dance steps. It’s about showing the world what’s possible when you lead with determination, humour and heart.

Through every spin, misstep and moment of joy, Chris reminded us that disability is never a barrier to doing something amazing and that you don’t need perfect circumstances to chase a dream. Just courage, support and belief.

At Driving Miss Daisy, we see that spirit every day. In the clients who try something new. In the small victories. In every journey where confidence grows and independence shines.

Because whether you are dancing in front of millions, going back to a favourite hobby or simply making it to lunch with a friend – you can accomplish anything.

For all enquiries and bookings, please contact Sonya at Driving Miss Daisy Aldinga on 0461 345 547 or email [email protected]

Inspiration of the Month!

This month, we’re celebrating Telaya Blacksmith, a young Paralympian who inspires us all with her courage, determination and spirit.

Telaya grew up in the Warlpiri community where opportunities to train and compete weren’t always easy to come by. But her drive to run, jump and push her limits led her all the way to the Paris Paralympics where she competed on the world stage.

She’s now broken records in the 100m, 200m and long jump T20 categories, proving that hard work and heart can take you anywhere!

Her story isn’t just about medals or achievements - it’s about community, resilience and belief. Telaya reminds us that when people have the right support behind them, dreams that once felt impossible can come true.

We share stories like these because they highlight the power of resilience, support and belief in what’s possible.

Happy Grandparents Day!

Today we celebrate the love, wisdom and warmth that grandparents bring to our lives. From sharing stories that span generations to offering comfort in life’s ups and downs, grandparents hold a special place in every family.

Thank you for the lessons, the laughs and the endless cups of tea. You remind us that love, patience and a listening ear are some of the greatest gifts we can give.

To all the wonderful grandparents out there – you are truly cherished!

At Driving Miss Daisy, we not only provide a transport and companion service for the elderly and adults in need, we can safely transport children as well.

We understand the pressures parents face in trying to hold down a career to provide for their family as well as trying to keep up with their kids’ busy schedules. We can do school drop offs and pick-ups and accompany your kids to their extra-curricular activities like sporting events, music lessons or parties. We can be there to help when you cannot.

All of our Daisies have a working with children certificate and are extremely approachable, friendly and fun to be around. Your kids will enjoy their ride with us!
