🇦🇺 Driving around Australia is bigger than most people think…
To drive the full loop around Australia (Highway 1) is roughly 14,500 km.
To put that in perspective:
🚗 It’s the same as driving from London to Beijing
🚗 Almost the same distance as driving across the entire United States… twice
🚗 Nearly halfway around the Earth’s circumference
🚗 About the same as driving from Sydney to New York and halfway back
🚗 Equal to driving Brisbane → Perth → Brisbane → Perth again
Even crazier:
🇦🇺 Perth to Sydney alone is about 3,900 km
That’s roughly the same as:
• Driving London → Istanbul
• Driving New York → Los Angeles
And if you tried to visit every major destination on the map?
Most travellers underestimate this…
It would easily take 3–6 months to properly road trip Australia.
