Middle East - I am closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East following the recent US and Israel military actions involving Iran and ensuing responses.
There has been significant disruptions to airspace and commercial flight operations, with multiple countries in the region temporarily closing or restricting their airspace and numerous airlines cancelling or diverting flights as a result.

FYI..Australians who are British/Irish dual citizens will no longer be able to use their Australian passport to enter the United Kingdom, starting from 25 Feb. The new requirement means dual citizens will need an in-date British or Irish passport in order to visit the country. Those who already have flights booked to the UK may find themselves in a bind, with wait times for a British passport between six and 13 weeks.
The option to fast-track the process is only available to dual citizens who are already within the UK, otherwise, travellers may able to obtain an emergency travel document if they meet certain criteria (see Travel urgently from abroad without your UK passport: Who can apply - GOV.UK).
Alternatively, travellers can use their Australian passport with a certificate of entitlement, which will set them back £589 (A$1,180) and must be renewed each time their passport expires - this has a shorter processing time of around three weeks.

On our recent visit to Sri Lanka, we were really looking forward to experiencing the food there as food is a very important part of the travel experience for us.

I had expected “India Light” what we actually experienced was high quality, diverse and delicious cusine. In Galle we had the best Italian meal I’ve had outside of Italy.

Sri Lanka’s rich history from Portuguese, Dutch, British and India really lends itself to some truly exquisite dining options ❤️

Another hotel inspection, this time The Capital Kempinski, the hotel has a boutique feel, friendly and engaged staff. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and quiet!

Several restaurants and bars, gym, spa, pool and the Capitol shopping mall & theatre are all part of the complex. In fact, the hotel is surrounded by shops 😳

The Capella Hotel, Sentosa, Singapore. Today I was honoured to have the opportunity to inspect this superb hotel.
Luxury at its finest with every detail considered, with three swimming pools and multiple accommodation styles, several dining options and the refreshingly friendly staff. The Capella ticks all the boxes and some.
We were treated to a sumptuous luncheon by our host Jacilyn Sim and created by Antonio Corsair, Executive Sous Chef.
A special occasion or just because, I highly recommend The Capella Singapore #❤
