For the past few months, the team at MGK Expedition Films has been quietly working in the shadows on our most ambitious documentary project yet. Today, we can finally share the title with you.
Australia Unseen is an upcoming series that will take you deep into the raw, hidden heart of the Australian wilderness after dark.
Using specialised, cutting-edge low-light camera gear, we are filming the landscapes, ancient corridors, and unique wildlife of this continent in a way they has never been captured before—completely under the cover of night.
Take a look at this sneak preview shot of the Tawny Frogmouth. In the daylight, they blend perfectly into the bark, completely invisible to the world. But when the sun goes down, they wake up. The entire bush changes its language, and the true keepers of the forest take over.
We are currently deep in the development, mapping, and funding phase, preparing the logistics for an epic production journey.
Because you are the backbone of what we do, we want you along for the ride from day one. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing exclusive first-look imagery, behind-the-scenes field gear tests, and the deep cultural stories of Country that are guiding our paths.
