NETANYAHU WARNS HAMAS MAY ATTACK AHEAD OF ISRAEL ELECTION
➡️ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Hamas may attempt an attack ahead of the country’s October 27 general election, claiming the group could seek to influence the political outcome.
➡️ Netanyahu said Israel is prepared to prevent such attacks and vowed a forceful response if an assault is carried out.
➡️ The warning comes as Israeli security authorities raise readiness ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attack.
➡️ Defense Minister Israel Katz separately said intelligence indicated Hamas could attempt attacks against Israeli forces in Gaza around the anniversary.
➡️ Israel is scheduled to hold its general election on October 27, with security concerns emerging as a major issue in the campaign.
➡️ Netanyahu’s claim is an assessment by the Israeli government and does not establish that Hamas has confirmed plans to influence the election through an attack.
