Another reason why our YouTube videos have come to a standstill, we’re busy doing commercial work for other parties as well as doing the odd community contribution in making advertisements for them! 📺🎥

This is our latest contribution, for the upcoming Adelaide Model Railway Exhibition coming this June Long Weekend!

Drawing on my previous experience in the Television Industry, we devised this advertisement to be as short, sharp and deliver all the pertinent details, in particular, the change in venue location. Thanks to our voiceover talent Sophia Nevele for her narration of this ad!

Hello! We recently returned from a weekend in Corowa, NSW, where we attended the 2026 National Fly-In for the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia, and what an incredible event this was!

This event is like a car club rally, but full of vintage and antique aircraft that are still flying and kept airworthy, to preserve history and for the enjoyment of their owners.

We were here filming on behalf of the AAAA (I’m actually a Committee Member on their board!) and today released a short summary video of this weekend gathering on the page. Go check it out, link is in the comment below.

As for the rest of Rheilffordd production, editing continues at slow pace while we continue to be distracted by more lucrative commercial work that pays, and doing community contributions like our recent ad for the Adelaide Hills Model Railway Show. Production does continue!

Hello! Last long weekend we were in attendance at the Newport Workshops Open Days, in a very unique role providing Airshow style commentary for the train operation activity happening out in the yard as well as many other announcements over the Public Address speaker system throughout the site.

This is a newly developed part of this event adopted by the event organisers Steamrail Victoria, and was aided by fellow creators (And mates!) Will James: Railways, Victorian Steam, Pannier Productions and vandenbricks who came together to share the Mic and provide commentary as well.

My mate Kiran from Victorian Steam has just dropped his latest video which is a vlog from the weekend and the behind the scenes of the Commentary Team, and has done a much better job than I could ever do, so please go check out his video. Thank you and good day!

It's on again! This Long Weekend in Melbourne is the Newport Workshops Open Days - Sat 7th - Mon 9th Mar 2026 run by Steamrail Victoria, and it's going to be a big one!

We'll be there with our friends Will James: Railways, Victorian Steam , Pannier Productions and many others providing our voices to the newly introduced Commentary and Speaker Setup throughout the site, talking about all the trains demonstrating out in the yard as well as any other activities taking place during the Open Days.

We hope to see many of you there, we know many make the trip to Melbourne for this spectacular event, the largest gathering of steam locomotives of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere! Links in the comment below ⬇️

It's on again! The Steamrail Victoria Newport Workshop Open Days 2026 is happening again, and will be an absolutely action packed long weekend of steam locomotives and other railway activity! We will be there as well with our team of fellow creators doing a lot of PA Announcements and Commentary on everything taking place during the long weekend, so come say g'day!

Hello! We wanted to wish all of you subscribers and viewers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2025 was a quiet one on the surface here at Rheilffordd, however behind the scenes was anything but! We did multiple filming trips across six Australian states for many events and productions, and also started doing paid commercial work for clients as well, which takes away from YouTube production time, however the paid work helps us go to railway events to make stuff for here... that chicken and egg scenario!

We only released two videos this year, which is still a sheer miracle by our standards! Like anything, we have more videos coming in the new year but always hampered by real life of having to work full time, and of course our personal relationships and lives outside of cyberspace.

We'll leave you with a photo of a trip we did recently with our friends at Steamrail Victoria, on their annual Member's Christmas Train featuring streamlined EMD locomotives S301 and A66, which hauled a day trip from Melbourne to Rochester, North of Bendigo.

Hello to all my new subscribers who’ve come along after discovering the Rydal video. That video has been one of my favourites to make to date, has me presenting a little more infront of camera, and although views aren’t as high as desired, the comments, Likes and feedback has been so well received that this means more to me than views!

Like all Rheilffordd videos, a lot of them are edited while I’m on the road in my line of work, working out of hotel rooms, travelling aboard flights, and whenever I get the opportunity to devote some editing time. To me I’m happy to have just got a second video out this year 🤣

Anyhow, moving forward editing has begun on the next video, this one won’t be a full on editing masterpiece, but will capture a significant event in heritage railway history I was fortunate to have been invited to attend recently, stay tuned!

🚂 NEW VIDEO! 🏡
I spent the night inside a real 155 year old heritage railway station, and yes, it’s a place you can actually book and stay in! From coal fires to vintage video tape players to late night freight trains echoing across the hills, this was one of the most unique accommodations I’ve ever experienced!

Come with me to Rydal Railway Station, located 15mins west of Lithgow in New South Wales, and step back in time for a night. Video in comment below

Hi all! We're quietly working in the background of our next documentary, which we're hoping will be released in the coming week or two, so if you haven't already, subscribe to Rheilffordd on Youtube! I want to give a shout out to my friends Steve and Grant at the Plane Crazy Down Under Podcast show!

For those who know me outside of Rheilffordd.... I also have a parallel existence in the world of aviation, both as my profession, as well as my passion I get to fulfil! This Podcast was something I was previously involved with as their 'Field Reporter' at Airshows, events and other stories I would find, and that's where my start in producing media online came from. Steve and Grant has given me quite the touching shout out at the end of this awesome episode, so thank you gents for this! Hello! So on a different tangent to YouTube videos, for those of you in Sydney (Or travelling to Sydney) for this year's Transport Heritage Expo 2025 held at Central Station, I will be the MC and Station Announcer on all three days of this massive festival of heritage transport! Fair to say this is a role that is quite the fusion of my passions in heritage transport of all the forms that will be represented this Long Weekend at Sydney's Central Station, and I feel extremely privileged to have been asked to do this role for the event!
