TRADITIONAL HORSE-CARRIAGES + CULINARY ARTS + SIGHTSEEING = RIDING DINNER

Our offers range from 90-minute tours including a 3 course gourmet menu & beverages in our culinary horse-carriage, to simple city-tours with sparkling wine and snacks, all the way to individually arranged offers as desired. In this category, your imagination has almost no limits. HOW IT WORKS:
Depending on the package you booked, the food and beverages will be served directly into the horse-carriage at arranged stops during your sightseeing tour. Our attentive butler-service, as well as the carriage with a specially built table and unique glass-holders contributes to your perfect comfort.

What many branches & jobs wish for is actually reality for the Viennese Fiakers: A heat/summer regulation for working! 🌡️ Whenever it’s 35 degrees Celsius we aren’t allowed to operate carriages anymore. To measure the temperature even more exactly and directly there is even a thermometer right in the city centre for our carriages. 🧿

We mean, have you ever tried Wiener Schnitzel while the most beautiful sights of Vienna have been passing by? 🐴🍽️🥂

By the way, this is how the legal 35°C rule works in Vienna for Fiakers:

In the city center, near the Opera, there is an official thermometer operated by GeoSphere Austria that we are required to follow. There’s a dedicated website where the temperature is updated every five minutes. 🐴

As soon as that thermometer reaches 35°C, all horse-drawn carriages (Fiakers) must stop operating and return to their stables, meaning their day is over. Even if it starts raining later and the temperature drops again, they are not allowed to resume service. The 35 degrees Celsius are measured in the shade, just like everywhere else in the world….

So on days like that, it wouldn’t even be possible to operate in the evening, because the regulations for Fiakers simply don’t allow it.

Please don’t judge a book by its cover. 📕 If you aren’t sure ask us and don’t just assume about our horses.🐎 They do get best care and handle summer much better than most humans and even most other animals, if they are healthy and properly taken care of. ❤️
