Since February, Airportr has become available to passengers travelling with Lufthansa from Frankfurt Airport, and a lot has happened since. 😎 This includes the expansion of our service area to now include Cologne and Bonn, as well as the addition of Discover Airlines – Lufthansa Group’s quality leisure airline in Germany.

Christmas travel can be chaotic with crowded airports and inevitable delays. Airportr is here to ease your stress! Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

- Book an early collection: Ensure your bags, skis, and pushchairs are collected well in advance so you can focus on what truly matters in the days before Christmas. With some airlines, bags can be collected up to three days before departure, even before check-in opens!

- Be aware of our collection rules: On departure, at least one passenger must be present. If you’re flying to or through the USA, or if your flight is operated by Virgin Atlantic, all passengers must be present at the time of collection.
Check the rules that apply to young babies: If you're travelling with an infant, make sure you check with your airline that you can get your boarding pass, as some airlines require manual check-in.

- Update your booking if needed: Need to check one extra bag or update your collection time at the last minute? You can do that up to 2 hours before collection by logging into manage booking

Our Story

AirPortr was born when our founder, a frequent traveler, often found himself battling public transport, busy crowds, and arduous walks laden with luggage. It wasn’t a great way to start a long trip, or a day at the office.

Getting to and through the airport is as cumbersome today as it was decades ago, yet every other aspect of our lives has been made easier by technology. There had to be a better way...

So in 2014 we started AirPortr, and two years later we launched the world’s first fully integrated doorstep check-in service with British Airways. Since then we’ve added many more airlines to the AirPortr family, including easyJet and Virgin Atlantic, enabling thousands of people to experience bag-less, stress-free travel every month.

Customers are greeted by vetted, friendly drivers who collect and securely seal their bags from any location within our extended London and North-East England service areas. This allows them to travel bag-free to the airport, skip the bag drop queues, and head straight to security, collecting their bags in the normal way at their destination.
