Under the cobblestones of San Telmo runs a network of 18th-century tunnels.

They started as drainage for a stream nobody could tame, the Zanjón de Granados. Then they became something else: smuggling routes, escape corridors for wealthy porteños fleeing yellow fever epidemics, an underground city beneath the oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires.

San Telmo wears its history on the surface. The more interesting chapters are below street level.

Buenos Aires has more psychoanalysts per capita than any other city on earth.

More than New York. More than Vienna, which should feel embarrassing for Vienna.

Porteños don’t find this remarkable. Therapy here is less a treatment than a conversational genre, discussed openly at dinner, referenced in passing, recommended to strangers. The city runs on red wine, late dinners, and a shared belief that everything is worth examining.

The jacarandás are not from here.

Neither are the palos borrachos or the tipas. Carlos Thays brought them all from the forests of Salta and Tucumán in the late 1800s, arriving by cargo ship (& train). He then planted each species according to its flowering month, engineering a city that would never go without color.

Thays didn’t plant trees. He wrote a script with a 100-year run time. Buenos Aires blooms exactly when he decided it should.

Steel that holds the sky in its hands.

Floralis Genérica opens its petals each morning and closes them at dusk. Not metaphorically. The six aluminium petals move, hydraulically, like something alive. Eduardo Catalano gave this to Buenos Aires in 2002, free of charge, because he felt the city needed something that breathed.

Stand close enough and the metal gives you the garden back. The junipers. The fading pink above the rooftops. Yourself, smaller than you expected.

Recoleta rewards the slow walker. We know where to begin.

A building this pink shouldn’t feel this serious. And yet here it is - the Casa Rosada, facing the plaza where Argentina has argued with itself for two centuries.

Presidents have waved from that balcony. Crowds have filled this square with grief, with fury, with hope. The light doesn’t care about any of that. On a clear morning it just falls across the facade the way it always has - warm, indifferent, beautiful.

Some buildings hold history the way old walls hold damp. This one holds it loudly. Start your Buenos Aires here. We’ll make sure you arrive with time to feel it. 🇦🇷

Ever stumbled upon a street that feels like walking through a kaleidoscope? 🎨

Hidden in Barracas — just minutes from San Telmo — Pasaje Lanín is Buenos Aires’ most colorful secret. Three blocks of houses covered entirely in vibrant Venetian mosaics, handcrafted over 25 years by local artist Marino Santa María.

This isn’t just street art. It’s a living masterpiece that most travelers miss because it’s tucked away from the usual tourist circuits. No crowds, no rush — just you, the art, and the kind of Instagram content that makes people stop scrolling. 📸

Here’s the thing: Barracas isn’t easy to navigate on your own. Public buses are confusing, and the neighborhood feels remote if you’re unfamiliar with Buenos Aires. That’s where we come in.

Our private transfers take you door-to-door in total comfort. Your driver drops you right at the mosaics, waits while you explore at your own pace, and can even combine it with San Telmo or La Boca — all on your schedule. ✨

Zero stress, maximum art, premium experience.
