Four Days, Three Cities, and a Different View of Afghanistan
When Antoinette Cefai arrived from Malta, she came with a genuine curiosity about Afghanistan—its history, archaeological heritage, and the places that have shaped the country over centuries. As a government employee with a strong interest in travel and history, she wanted more than a quick visit; she wanted to experience the country for herself.

Over four days, her journey took her through Kabul, Bamiyan, and Mazar-e-Sharif, each offering a different perspective.

In Kabul, Antoinette was pleasantly surprised. The city felt more modern than she had imagined, and she found that some of her expectations based on the past no longer matched what she experienced on the ground.

But it was Bamiyan and Band-e Amir that left the strongest impression on her. The peaceful surroundings, the atmosphere of Bamiyan, and the remarkable setting of Band-e Amir became highlights of her four-day journey.

What stayed with her, however, was not only the places she visited. Antoinette was especially pleased with the warm and respectful attitude of the HAMIDI TMC team, whose support accompanied her throughout the journey.
