At the Evolve Future Mobility Show 2025, ION announced the launch of the region’s first unified EV charging platform, marking a major step toward a smarter, more connected transport future.

Built to bring together drivers, operators, and partners under one seamless ecosystem, the platform powers 100+ ultra-fast DC chargers across the UAE, developed in collaboration with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA). This milestone reflects ION’s vision to make sustainable mobility simpler, smarter, and accessible to everyone.

As part of our participation in the Evolve Future Mobility Show 2025, Amir Melad, CEO of ION, took part in a main stage panel discussion titled “Impact of UAE Government Initiatives on EV Adoption.”

Speaking to industry stakeholders and government representatives, Amir engaged in a fruitful discussion alongside Rami Ashri, Manager of Partnerships at ADNOC Distribution; Hamad Andelazi Alhosani, Head of the Traffic Engineering Department at Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA); and Sushovan Ben, Manager – eMobility and Energy at PwC, who moderated the session.

The panel explored the opportunities and challenges shaping the UAE’s evolving EV landscape from infrastructure development to policy frameworks, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing the nation’s transition to electric mobility.

In line with this vision, we are proud to enhance Sharjah’s EV infrastructure with ultra-fast charging stations through our ongoing collaboration with SRTA.
