السفينة التي تحمل سفن أخرى، بلو مارلين، هي سفينة نصف غاطسة لرفع البضائع الثقيلة مملوكة لشركة دوكوايز شيبينغ الهولندية، ومصممة لنقل البضائع الضخمة مثل منصات النفط والسفن البحرية التي خرجت من الخدمة. يبلغ طولها 224.6 مترًا وعرضها 63 مترًا، وحمولتها الإجمالية 51821 طنًا ووزنها الميت 76061 طنًا. تعمل بمحرك MAN B&W 9S90ME-C8 ينتج 12640 كيلو وات (16950 حصانًا) وتبلغ سرعتها الإبحارية 14.5 عقدة (26.9 كم / ساعة). تتمتع السفينة بقدرة فريدة على غمر سطحها لتحميل الهياكل الكبيرة، ثم رفع السطح للنقل.

تم تجهيز بلو مارلين بـ 38 كابينة لاستيعاب 60 شخصًا، إلى جانب وسائل الراحة مثل غرفة التمرين والساونا ومرافق السباحة وقلعة آمنة للحماية من هجمات القراصنة. شاركت في مشاريع مهمة، مثل نقل المدمرة يو إس إس كول بعد الهجوم الإرهابي عام 2000 ونقل منصة النفط ثاندر هورس بي دي كيو، التي تزن 60 ألف طن، إلى كوربوس كريستي، تكساس.

تتمتع هذه السفينة بسعة إقلاع إجمالية تبلغ 100 طن من رافعة واحدة، مما يؤكد قدرتها على نقل الأحمال الثقيلة. لقد وضع التصميم والهندسة المبتكرة لسفينة بلو مارلين معايير جديدة في الصناعة، مما يجعلها خيارًا موثوقًا به للمهام الصعبة في مجال الخدمات اللوجستية البحرية.
