Flagstaff Point Lighthouse (also commonly known as Wollongong Head Lighthouse) sits atop Flagstaff Hill overlooking the ocean and city coast. Constructed in 1936 out of reinforced concrete, it was the first fully automatic electric lighthouse established in New South Wales and remains active today.
Highlights & Views: Perched high on the hill, it offers panoramic 360-degree views of City Beach, North Wollongong Beach, and the Illawarra Escarpment.
Whale Watching: The surrounding grassy headland is a prime spot during whale migration season (May through November).
