Back at The Airport Show Dubai after so many years! ✈️🌍

It was a pleasure to attend The Airport Show Dubai after such a long time, and the experience reminded me how closely aviation, tourism and hospitality are connected.

One of the highlights was reconnecting with representatives from companies I had known and worked with over the years. It is always a wonderful feeling to meet familiar faces, exchange memories and see how far the industry has progressed.

I also enjoyed attending some valuable and insightful sessions, exploring the latest developments in airport infrastructure, aviation technology and the future of passenger experiences.

Having spent more than two decades in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, I strongly believe that aviation is not just about connecting airports — it is about connecting people, destinations, economies and opportunities.

A productive visit, some great conversations and a few old connections renewed!

The technology keeps evolving, but the value of personal relationships remains unchanged.

Four amazing days at Arabian Travel Market 2026 — and once again, I’m reminded why I love this industry. 🌍✈️

What an incredible experience at ATM Dubai 2026.

A big congratulations to RX Global, the UAE Government and the Government of Dubai for bringing the global travel industry together and delivering such a professionally organized international platform.

For me, though, the real value of ATM has always been the people.

It was wonderful meeting industry partners from around the world, exchanging ideas, exploring new opportunities and having conversations that I hope will develop into future collaborations and business.

But business events are not only about business.

Some of my favourite moments were the little get-togethers after long exhibition days — sitting with old colleagues and friends, laughing together, remembering old stories and realizing how many years and memories we have shared through this industry. ❤️

After more than two decades in tourism, hospitality and MICE, I still believe that technology can make our industry faster, but relationships are what keep it together.

Four productive days. Many meetings. Plenty of laughter. Old friendships renewed and new ones started.

Until next time, ATM. The meetings may be over, but the relationships continue.

A new WTM chapter begins in Riyadh. 🇸🇦🌍

It was a pleasure to attend the inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh, organised by RX Global under the WTM portfolio.

I particularly liked the “Spotlight” concept. Rather than trying to be everything at once, the event created a focused platform showcasing exhibitors and tourism opportunities from across Saudi Arabia, complemented by highly interactive conversations and sessions on stage.

For me, attending an industry event is never just about walking around an exhibition floor. It is about meeting people, exchanging experiences, asking questions, sharing knowledge and building relationships.

I was pleased to contribute my own experience to the conversations and, more importantly, connect with many industry colleagues. Over the years, I have learned that a good conversation at an event can often be the beginning of a relationship — and eventually, a business opportunity.

With Saudi Arabia moving at such an exciting pace in tourism, it was great to experience this inaugural platform in Riyadh.

Now from Riyadh to Dubai… ✈️🇦🇪

Looking forward to welcoming many of my industry buddies to ATM Dubai next week. The conversations continue, the connections grow, and hopefully, so do the opportunities. 🤝

You don’t truly experience an event by simply attending it. You experience it by participating in it.

Looking back at my time at ATLF 2026 in Polokwane, Limpopo, I realized these pictures tell three very different sides of the same experience.

🕺Dancing and celebrating — embracing the local culture, music and energy.

🙋‍♂️ Sitting in the audience and asking questions — because no matter how many years of experience we have, there is always something new to learn.

🎤 Standing on the stage as a speaker — sharing my own knowledge, experiences and perspectives with fellow tourism leaders.

For me, this is what international travel and industry events should be about.

When we visit another destination, particularly somewhere as culturally rich and diverse as Africa, we shouldn’t remain observers. We should participate.

Embrace their culture.
Celebrate with them.
Listen to their stories.
Ask questions.
Share what you know.
And leave having learned something yourself.

After more than two decades in tourism, hospitality and MICE, I still believe some of the strongest professional relationships are created when we move beyond business cards and meeting rooms and connect as people.

At ATLF, sometimes I was the speaker, sometimes the student, and sometimes I simply joined the celebration. 😊

And I enjoyed every role.

Because the best way to understand a destination is not just to visit it, it is to become part of it, even if only for a few days.

After working with eTV and ENCA, she returned to SABC News to host the morning news show “The Agenda.”

Africa has always held a special place in my professional journey.

It was a great privilege to take the stage at the Africa Tourism Leadership Forum 2026 and share the panel with respected tourism leaders and industry colleagues from across the African continent.

Every visit to Africa strengthens my admiration for its people, its diversity, its hospitality, and the enormous potential of its tourism industry.

Being part of conversations that focus on tourism investment, sustainable growth, collaboration and creating meaningful opportunities for African destinations and communities is something I truly value.

I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute my perspective, share experiences from the Middle East and international markets, and most importantly, learn from fellow African tourism leaders.

Africa Connects — and I am proud to be part of that connection.

Three days. Many conversations. New connections. And hopefully, new business ahead. 🌍

Wrapping up an inspiring experience at the 9th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum (ATLF 2026) in Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa.

What I valued most over these three days wasn’t simply being at another international tourism event. It was the quality of the conversations.

Meeting Tourism Ministers, CEOs of tourism authorities, investors, industry leaders and professionals from across Africa gave us the opportunity to talk openly about where African tourism is heading — and, more importantly, what we can do together.

After many years working across hospitality, tourism and MICE, it was particularly meaningful for me to be able to share my own experience on this stage, while also listening and learning from people shaping tourism across the continent.

I have always believed that conferences should not end when the conference ends.

A conversation should become a connection.
A connection should become a relationship.
And the right relationship can eventually become a business opportunity.

Africa has been very close to my heart for many years, and every visit gives me another reason to believe in its enormous tourism potential.

I leave Limpopo with new ideas, new relationships and even greater enthusiasm for connecting Africa with the Middle East and international markets.

Thank you to everyone who shared a conversation, an idea, or simply a few minutes over coffee.

Now the real work begins — turning conversations into opportunities.

What a fantastic way to start the morning in Tampa! 🏃‍♂️☀️

I had the pleasure of participating in the 5K Run sponsored by Visit Detroit along the beautiful Tampa Bay Riverwalk during Connect Marketplace 2026.

It was more than just a run — it was a fun, energetic and refreshing experience, bringing industry colleagues together in a completely different setting while enjoying the beautiful waterfront views of Tampa.

A great reminder that some of the best connections happen outside meeting rooms and exhibition halls.
