Tanker QIAN TAI 1 is stuck at Kakinada anchorage, eastern India, since early July, after delivering some 4,000 tons of palm oil. The problem is, Chinese captain and other Chinese crew, prevent Indian crew from boarding, understood Indian crew is supposed to replace Chinese crew, after ship changed management, from Chinese company Seacon Ships Management to Singapore’s Oka Ship Management. It is said, that Chinese crew threatened Indians with axe, when they tried to board the ship. The stand-off is to be ruled out by Court, and if Court rules in favor of Indian crew, Chinese one will have to sign off and leave tanker.
