Having recently stayed at , I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our Nepal adventure.

One of the highlights of our recent trip to Nepal was our stay at Sarangkot Mountain Lodge.

Perched high above Pokhara, this beautiful lodge offers front-row seats to some of the most breathtaking Himalayan views I’ve ever experienced. Waking up to the sunrise over the Annapurna range, watching the clouds drift through the valleys below, and ending the day with spectacular mountain sunsets made this a truly unforgettable stay.

The Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu began with one man’s mission to save Nepal’s disappearing heritage. In 1952, founder Dwarika Das Shrestha rescued centuries-old Newari wood carvings from demolished buildings and spent decades preserving them. Today, the hotel stands as a living museum of Nepali craftsmanship, where every courtyard, beam, and carving tells a story of cultural preservation. You too can experience putting your hand to wood carving and bring a little momento of Dwarikas home! Here is my effort however wood carving isn’t easy for the left handed!

A sunrise adventure on the hunt for tigers 🌅🌿
We left our hotel and took the boat across the river to start our jeep safari! The jungle slowly waking up around us, mist hanging over the grasslands, and then… a rhino casually appearing out of nowhere on its morning stroll giving us a good stare. Next a herd of elephants roaming through the forest, birds calling overhead, monkeys swinging from tree to tree, golden light pouring through the trees. Still on the hunt for a tiger having seen a fresh footprint we stopped overlooking the river ever hopeful one would make an appearance! Sadly it wasn’t to be and the sloth bears were also very elusive! Despite that, Chitwan felt wild, magical, and completely surreal from start to finish. 🦏🐘✨ Until next time 🐅
