Travelling to Zimbabwe This Christmas? Make Your Border Crossing Effortless.
The festive season is the busiest time of the year at our borders, but your journey does not have to be stressful. With the right preparation, you can move quickly and avoid unnecessary delays.
1. Pre-Clear Your Vehicle (For Foreign-Registered Cars)
If you’re driving into Zimbabwe, pre-register your vehicle before you travel. It’s fast, it reduces waiting time, and it makes your entry much smoother.

2. Know Your Travellers’ Rebate
You are allowed to bring in goods for personal use up to a set value without paying duty. Just make sure you declare your goods honestly. It’s simple and it saves you from penalties or offloading.
3. When in Doubt, Declare
Electronics, gifts, groceries, alcohol, spare parts declare them. Border delays usually come from undeclared or misunderstood items.
4. Have Your Documents Ready
Carry your passport, registration book, insurance, and a letter of authority if the vehicle is not in your name. Keep your eTIP reference on hand for quick processing.
A smooth Christmas journey starts with preparation. Travel smart. Travel ready. Enjoy your holiday.
