"Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand." (Philippians 4:5)

The Bible encourage us as believers to have moderation in all things, including generosity. While being generous is commendable, overextending yourself can lead to burnout and neglect of personal responsibilities.

Ruth 4:1317; Ruth who lost her husband and was a widow in a foreign land who was picking up leftovers behind the workers in the field.
She got married to the owner of the field, that means the field she was gleaning in, became hers. The harvester that she was gleaning behind became her workers, she lorded over them.

Esther 2:5-18; Esther who was an orphan, a slave and in exile. She became a queen in a foreign land and she began to lord over those who were her masters.

Never look down on someone because of his/her situation or condition, all these can change anytime. You might have heard of someone's past and know their present but not their YET TO BE. What you don't have on the outside, it's on the inside. Persevere in Jesus Name.
