The Skukuza Rest Camp in the world-famous Kruger National Park is situated on the southern bank of the Sabie River and is the park's largest rest camp and administrative headquarters.

The camp is lush and there are large trees on the riverbank. There are various activities and attractions, animals and plants in the camp and the surrounding area.

This rest camp has a bank, post office, car rentals, a deli, shop, restaurant, communal laundry, petrol station, car mechanic, communal kitchens and ablution facilities, braai facilities, 2 swimming pools for overnight guests, a car wash, auditorium, conference facilities, picnic area with its own swimming pool for day visitors 4 km outside the camp and the Skukuza Native Nursery 5 km outside the camp.

Activities at Skukuza Rest Camp include bush walks, game drives with trained field guides in the morning, afternoon and evening, breakfast and braai in the bush, a 9-hole golf course, Stevenson Hamilton Memorial Library, seasonal educational programs, wildlife films on the big screen (except Sundays), Lake Panic Bird Hide about 7 km outside the camp and traditional dances that can be arranged in advance.

Kruger Shalati offers accommodation in 24 Train Car Suites located on the train on the bridge and 7 Bridge House Suites located along the bridge on the riverbank.

The picturesque garden setting with the train as a backdrop gives this accommodation a very unique location in the iconic Kruger National Park.

The train is permanently parked above the Sabie River on the Selati Bridge, a bridge with a very rich history. Here, unique and luxurious accommodation is offered in a train reminiscent of the railway safaris of the 1920s.

The Balule Rest Camp is a small satellite camp in the world-famous Kruger National Park with the most beautiful topography. The name, Balule, is named after the Tsonga word for the Olifants River and the camp is one of the best places to experience nature first-hand.

It is located in the middle of the park, just south of Olifants Camp and close to the Olifants River. There are only basic facilities without electricity and a low fence is the only thing that comes between guests and the wilderness.

This makes for a truly primitive experience. It is precisely this unique wilderness feel that attracts backpackers and the caravan community, as well as guests who just want to get away.

6 day/ 5 nights Kruger Panorama Experience

Day 1:
Clients will travel along the breathtaking Panorama Route, regarded as one of South Africa's most picturesque route. Enroute will be a lunch stop and exploration of the quaint town of Graskop. Guests will overnight in Hazyview, in a 3/4-star lodge, which is just a stone's throw from the Kruger National Park. Dineer will be served at the lodge.

Day 2:
The day starts off early with a packed lunch from the lodge. On open safari vehicles, guests are traeted to a full day of sightings, stopping at several water holes, viewpoint sites, and rivers.

We eat breakfast at a nearby rest stop or picnic area, which the lodge had prepared in advance. After that, we continue our safari in search of the elusive Big 5, making sure to see over 500 different types of birds and over 100 different mammals. Your ranger will make sure you have the best possible experience. After lunch at a nearby rest camp with a delicious meal, your guide will drop you off to resume your safari.

Day 2:
We go for the Kruger National Park very early in the morning in open safari vehicles that have been specifically equipped. We arrive to one of the best animal locations in the park, where you will go on a safari with your ranger for the entire day, stopping at several water holes, viewpoint sites, and rivers. Lunch is had at a nearby rest camp, after which, the safari continues. Guests return to the lodge at 15h00 to relax and shake off the day's heat in the swimming pool.

Day 3:
A hearty and leisurely breakfast is had at the lodge and afterwards guests leave for a tour of the Blyde River Canyon, also known as the Panorama Route. Notable stops will be Bourke's Luck Potholes and Mac Mac Falls. Lunch will be at the Graskop Gorge Lift Co and the rest of the day is spent at the lodge in leisure. Dinner is served at the lodge.

Day 4:
Pre packed breakfast is collected and an early entrance into the Kruger promises a new batch of sightings. Guest will have plenty of photo opportunities and the tour guide leads them in search of the Big 5. A stop is made at a restcamp for lunch, after which the drive continues. The day ends at 16h00 as guests are ushered back to the lodge. Dinner is served in the evening.

Day 5:
A leisurely breakfast is had, after which guests head towards the township of Shabalala, to experience a township tour and a taste of traditional African cuisine. Lunch is had at Perry's Bridge Trading Post and then the tour heads off to the Kruger National Park for a sunset game drive, followed by a bush braai. Guests return to the lodge at 22h00.

Day 6:
Today guests experience the last full day of the Kruger. Exploring with a knowledgeable guide, they go in search of any sightings they may not have had luck locating on previous days. A lunch stop is at a restcamp and the safari continues. Guests return to the lodge and have dinner.

Day 1:
Visitors pick up their own rental car and depart Johannesburg early enough to drive themselves to the Lowveld via the N4 and head towards the Blyde River Canyon to experience the Panorama Route. The Three Rondavels, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Berlin Waterfall, and God's Window are sights not to be missed. All entrance payments are on your own account.
Overnight accommodation is in a three-star graded establishment in Hazyview, where they may have a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2:
Following breakfast, visitors self-drive into the Kruger National Park to continue their own safari exploring this vast animal kingdom. Check into your rest camp and enjoy supper at the camp restaurant.

Day 3:
You have the entire day to spend independently exploring the park. A night drive and a bush walk can be added to the package with advance notice, but these are subject to availability.

You can either relax in the camp and lounge by the pool, drive around on the various tarmac and gravel roads, or participate in any of the optional activities offered at the camp. Spend your own money on dinner at the restaurant to cap off the day, or build a fire and enjoy a classic braai/ barbeque.

Day 4:
You will get an early start on this last day and travel through the park once more to the departure gate before returning to Johannesburg.
