Msg about an upcoming ride on Sept 28 in Kleinmond:

All the Overberg riders that will be joining us...... We are meeting at the Scoota Shoppe parking area at the OK shop in main road Kleinmond at 7.45am for departure to Talla's Tavern in Gordon's Bay at 8am sharp.

All those coming from the Cape TownNorthern and Southern Suburbs and HelderbergStellenbosch regions...Have a safe ride and try to organize with friends to ride in a group. It is much safer as well as more fun.

There are limited (50 of each at the moment) of T-SHIRTSBUFFS AND GOODIE BAGSso a first come, first served policy will apply. (pre-entry is your guarantee).

All those 'non fair weather' riders that will be coming whatever the weather, please pre-book with the attached entry form to ensure your t-shirts, buffs and goodie bags.

We hope to have a scooter to auction for the Youth Care Centre, so bring your credit cards.

There are also lots of prizes to be raffled, so don't miss out.

Longest rider prize entrants, please bring ALL your fuel slips and zero your trip before you leave home. Also take a pic of your odometer with your phone or camera with the date on as proof).

Oldest rider, bring your ID.

Best looking custom scoot wins a prize as well.

We are still hoping to secure our mystery celebrity guest who will give a talk followed by a Q and A.

Come and join us all for a great time and help the children of the Overstrand Youth Care Centre to have a warm and dry place to live.

Dec. 3 is Car Free Day. Let's do a MASSIVE scooter rally to show the City of Cape Town and Cape Town motorists that scooter are the way to go. (Also we need more parking areas for two-wheel vehicles). More details to follow, but it will likely be a late afternoon ride. Give 'er!

Winter is here, so get smart and ride smart! The roads are slippery and the drivers won't be getting any better in the rain - So keep your wits about you! There are some awesome days coming up, the lovely winter days between the storms, and weather permitting we shall be doing some small social rides in and around Cape Town - so keep you eye on the prize - HI-Five!
