From Tasmania to Melbourne - the International Women's Day conversations kept rolling this week.

After a fantastic start at the Ignite Women Tasmania breakfast, we carried the momentum across the Strait and hosted a Strait Link table at the Business Chicks IWD lunch in Melbourne.

Renee Monkman-Straub and Pam Hermann were joined by Rosie, Leanne, Tasha, Nat, Susi, Bushra, Anvita, and Sharon for an afternoon that was equal parts connection, inspiration, and a rare chance to pause the day-to-day and just spend some time together.

The highlight? Hearing from Jacinda Ardern - thoughtful, grounded and incredibly inspiring on leadership, resilience and leading with empathy.

Good conversations. Great company. And a reminder of how valuable it is to make space for moments like these.

On Friday 6 March our EGM HR & Communications Renee Monkman-Straub and GM Logistics Kate Daley hosted a group of Strait Link team members at the Ignite Women Tasmania International Women’s Day Breakfast in Ulverstone.

This year’s event, themed “Give to Gain,” supported the North West Tasmanian Women’s Shelter and brought together women from across the region to connect, share experiences and support an important cause.

It was a fantastic morning celebrating the women across our industry, sharing perspectives and strengthening the networks that help create more opportunity across our sector. 💜

The Tasmanian Truck Owners & Operators Association Annual Truck Run is back - and Strait Link will be right in the middle of the action.

A number of our trucks will be hitting the convoy, joining an incredible line-up of rigs rolling through Launceston - all in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. It’s an amazing cause and a fantastic day out for the whole family.

We were pleased to support the 58th International Mirror Dinghy National Championships, hosted by Wynyard Yacht Club on Tasmania’s North West Coast earlier this month.

It was fantastic to see competitors travel from across the country to race on Bass Strait. Congratulations to all competitors, trophy winners, and the organising committee for delivering a successful national regatta.

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁

As our vessel the Victorian Reliance II sailed across Bass Strait last night, the crew were lucky enough to witness an incredible Aurora Australis dancing across the sky.

A pretty special moment out on the water - and one we don’t get to see every day. Huge thanks to our crew who keep things moving day and night, rain, shine… and sometimes under the southern lights.

A big thank you also to Ben Anderson. GM Vessels and the crew for sharing a special moment from out on the water.

Our owners, Allegro Funds, have signed a binding agreement for Strait Link to be acquired by Igneo Infrastructure Partners, subject to regulatory approvals.

Igneo is a global, long-term infrastructure investor with a strong track record in essential services, including transport, energy, utilities and waste. This represents a positive next step for our business, supporting long-term stability, continuity of service for our customers, and opportunities to strengthen and grow our operations over time.

As we move through the regulatory process, our focus remains the same: delivering safe, reliable services every day for the customers and communities we serve.
