🚲️ We're hiring! Join our reCycle team as a Trainee Technician, based in Lochgilphead.
This is a practical, community-focused role where you'll refurbish donated bikes, support cycling activities and work directly with people across Argyll. You'll build real skills in bike repair and reuse while helping connect communities with affordable, sustainable transport.
17.5 hrs/week | Fixed-term to March 2027 | £24,475 pro rata

The reCycle Project now supports anyone in Argyll & Bute looking for employment or training access a free refurbished bicycle. This support also includes helmet, lock, and lights.

We are particularly keen to hear from anyone requiring a bicycle to start a new job, attend interview, or access training opportunities.

Employers, we would also be keen to hear from you if bicycles supplied to your workplace would support new staff commute and access work.

Well it's been a busy year for reCycle!

A huge number of refurbished bicycles have been provided for free to children and adults across Argyll and Bute and our bicycle repair and maintenance service, as a social enterprise, is now fully established.

Ian and myself want to thank all those who have donated bicycles, those who have been applicants to get cycling, and those who have been new customers this year. Your involvement is hugely appreciated 👏

In 2026 we will be working more than ever to support access and inclusion to cycling 🚲
