We are pleased to announce our plan to establish a container shipping association along with Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk, MSC and ONE > http://bit.ly/2DFN66O

It is the very first time that we’ll be collaborating to drive digitalization and standardization in our industry. With this association we plan to come together to create common data standards which will be openly available for all operators in the container shipping industry, free of charge.

At the end of the day, we will be able to provide our customers with a better experience, to exchange data more easily and this will benefit to all players in the wider shipping ecosystem.

Together we make shipping enter a new era!

The port is anticipating the arrival of its first shipment of six rail-mounted gantry cranes (RMGs) to Virginia International Gateway (VIG) in Portsmouth at the end of this month. These cranes are the first of 86 that will be delivered to the port in the next two years.

For the past few months, fabricators in Poland have been assembling and placing these cranes on the heavy lift vessel, the HAPPY BUCCANEER, in preparation for its voyage across the Atlantic.
