With a unique top-to-bottom perspective of the logistics industry DashHaul.com was crafted and evolved from years of working in the transportation, logistics and manufacturing industries. Invaluable knowledge and priceless experience was gained from our manufacturing company AEN Industries and from our Chicago based 3PL start-up, Lane Source, Inc. Almost immediately after the launch of Lane Source
, we saw deficiencies that existed throughout the supply chain that made it very difficult for us to give the exceptional level of service our customers and carriers deserved. Due to the time, effort and planning that we put into Lane Source, this was without a doubt, the hardest decision we ever had to make. Ultimately, we decided to put our 3PL start-up on hiatus. But we’re no quitters. As with many other start-ups, many of the happenings involved in its creation are up in the air. But we did know one thing: we didn’t want to give up on the industry we loved. We just had to make it better! With this in mind, we quickly launched our tech company, DashHaul.com, Inc and went all-in trying to find a way to solve these supply chain problems. In segment after segment of the supply chain there have been technological advancements over the past several years. However, operations for booking Full Truckload shipments had virtually remained unchanged. We thought, “Why is this? There has to be a more productive way to book Full Truckload shipments!” Feedback from our customers coupled with our own experiences is what pushed us in the right direction. We were on our way to creating a solution and a better way. We thought, “Searching for loads and trucks on these prehistoric load boards should not be the norm.” “The use of these old brokering, scheduling and dispatch procedures work for some but are extremely time wasting and unproductive.” We knew there was a better way to manage this workload, but how? We felt if we took a few productive concepts that existed in these old methods and combined them with our game-changing idea, we would have something special. So we went right to work spending countless hours brainstorming, collecting data and documenting feedback. As we filtered through our research and started to refine and develop an outline for our idea it all came together. The end result was a web-based tool using state-of-the-art technology specifically designed for the shipping industry. We instantly knew this application would positively disrupt a logistics industry that has been staid and stagnant for quite some time now. We finally discovered a way to remedy those deficiencies using a process that would streamline daily operations for everyone involved. We can’t wait to share it!
