Dear pilots,

In cooperation with one of our pilots, we are pleased to invite you to a special training event on 26 February starting at 1800Z.

During this session, we will conduct a complete A to B flight (most likely Leipzig - Brussels) with the B777F (likely hosted via BigBlueButton). The goal of this event is to provide you with a comprehensive overview of standard B777 operating procedures, along with practical tips and tricks to enhance your operations. Of course, there will also be time for your questions throughout the session.

Our aim is to establish this as a recurring event format in the future, covering additional aircraft such as the B777, B737, as well as general operational topics.
Further details will be published here prior to the event.

If you already have specific questions or topics related to standard operations that you would like us to address during the session, please feel free to share them in this thread!

⚠️Captains, we need to talk!⚠️

The numbers are rising on , and so is the workload for air traffic controllers. That's why we'd like to explain how you can easily request your IFR clearance via PDC/DCL in today's ‘DID YOU KNOW?’ posting.
We'll show you how, using the PMDG Boeing 777.

The procedure is simple. You need a Hoppie account ( https://www.hoppie.nl ). When you register, you will receive a Hoppie code, which you can then enter in almost all common add-ons, either in the EFB or somewhere in the launcher/installer. If you are now flying online on Vatsim, all you have to do is read through the controller information. Here you will always find the logon or station code.
Simply follow the tutorial, acknowledge your clearance and ask for 'Startup and Pushback' next!
This works at almost every airport in the world!

We hope that today's ‘Did you know?’ has helped you and that significantly more pilots will obtain clearance via PDC, thereby significantly reducing frequency congestion. Voice clearances are so 90s. 😜
