Blue sky, deep blue sea… and a Blue Star ferry waiting in the harbour of Parikia. 💙

For many visitors, this is one of the very first views of Paros, and somehow, the moment the ferry arrives, holiday mode officially begins.

There’s something special about arriving by sea. Watching the island slowly appear on the horizon, feeling the warm air, and knowing: this is where the adventure starts. ✨

Are you team ferry or team flight when visiting the Greek islands? 😍

🚧 Restricted area? Apparently not for everyone… 😸 🐾

Paros mood: completely unbothered.

Even behind the barrier tape, this little island resident had found the perfect shady spot for a nap and with absolutely no intention of moving anytime soon. 😌💙🇬🇷

Have you met any cheeky feline locals on Paros yet? 😄

Naoussa, one of those places on Paros that’s hard not to fall in love with. 💙

Fishing boats in the harbour, crystal-clear water, whitewashed houses, and that perfect mix of lively and relaxed.

Whether it’s for a morning walk by the sea, a long lunch, or simply sitting by the water and watching the world go by… Naoussa has a special kind of charm. ✨

What’s your favourite harbour village in Greece? 😍

Today I learned the story behind a place I once came across by chance in the middle of nowhere on Paros.

Years ago, I stopped and took a photo of this simple memorial without knowing who it belonged to. Only now did I discover that it is connected to Nikolaos Stella, a young man from Paros who, during the German occupation in 1944, helped Allied commandos in a sabotage mission against the occupying forces.

He was captured, tortured, and refused to betray others.

Before his ex*****on, he was asked for his final wish. He asked to confess and receive communion, and asked the priest to tell his parents:

«“Please forgive me for the pain I caused you.”»

Today, Nikolaos Stella is still remembered on Paros for his courage and sacrifice. 🇬🇷

Some places quietly hold stories far bigger than we realise. 💙

Did you know that you can explore a big part of Paros without a car? 🚌💙

I know many people wonder if they really need to rent one and honestly, it depends on what kind of holiday you want.

Paros actually has a pretty good bus system connecting many villages, beaches, and hotspots like Parikia, Naoussa, Lefkes, Piso Livadi, Golden Beach, and Aliki. Especially in summer, buses run quite frequently and can be a really relaxed way to discover the island.

Would I still recommend a car? If you want to discover hidden places, quiet roads, or the more untouched side of Paros - yes, definitely 😄 But if you mainly want beaches, villages, restaurants, and relaxed exploring, the bus can work surprisingly well.

And honestly… there’s something quite special about sitting by the window, watching the sea go by on the way to your next little adventure. 💙

Have you ever explored the island by bus, or are you team rental car? 😄

P.S. I’ve put together a full guide about getting around Paros (including buses, rental cars, taxis & personal tips) on LoveParos.com if you’re currently planning a trip 💙

This is the side of Paros I never get tired of.

No crowds, no beach clubs - just tiny white chapels, curious goats, and endless silence under the blue sky. 💙

Could you enjoy a place this quiet, or would it feel too remote for you?

Today I’d love to share another little hidden gem on Paros with you 💙 🦋

The Butterfly Valley (Petaloudes) feels like stepping into a completely different side of the island. Suddenly everything turns green, shady, and peaceful 😌 a real contrast to the beaches and summer heat.

And then you notice them… hundreds of butterflies resting quietly on the trees. (Fun fact: they’re actually all Jersey Tiger Moths 😄).

What I love most was the atmosphere, the sound of nature, the calm, and that feeling of discovering a real island sanctuary.

Did you know the butterflies gather here every summer because of the cooler, humid environment? That’s also why visitors are asked to stay quiet and not disturb them. Best time to visit is usually between June and September.

It's located 7 km from Parikia and the entrance fee is around € 4 for adults (children under 12 are free). And honestly, it is absolutely worth it for such a peaceful little place. 💙

Did you know about this place on Paros or have you ever visited it? 💭
