1. Mounting in the lowest position involves elbow grease and knuckle dragging to tighten the bolts, no ratchet or torque wrench is getting there. They could have made a top access for the bolts and grommets to cover it up.

NB driving on the freeway in the highest mounting position is just unpleasant.

2. The slightest movement of the brackets connecting the feet with the rack while tightening means that the cover plates will not have a passive fit and and end up becoming a vice grip for the gutters. By the time you get to 15nm torque as per the manual, you have most likely fouled the gutter trim. I am assuming that was the case when ARB Wollongong installed my roof rack. This was at the highest position when all the bolts are accessible.

Make sure the feet are in the widest/outward position in the gutter so the cover plate goes on passively. Ended up repositioning the mounts for symmetry and mounting the rack in the lowest position. Also driving around with a torque wrench for the first couple of weeks now 😅.
