Beautiful morning on the ocean ...

A 10 days journey soaking in the culture, local life, and fishing across the Mekong Delta and Con Dao Island. 🎣
In late 2025, I got a request from guests wanting a true local experience - zero tourism, purely raw and authentic. I said yes.
We started in a remote countryside of Cho Moi, An Giang, staying in a traditional stilt house during the flooding season, surrounded by rice fields and canals. Day one fishing only brought us a few super tiny fish haha 🤣. But the night made up for it with authentic local flavors: Lau mam (fermented fish hotpot with Mekong catfish) and Ca loc nuong rom (straw-roasted snakehead fish)
Next, we headed to Ca Mau, Vietnam's southernmost city. We tried hunting wild snakehead at U Minh Thuong National Park on the way, but only landed a few small ones.
To be continued... Big ones started to show up. 💪🏻

Seeing the beaming smiles on everyone’s faces, all the effort from the intense encounter just melted away the moment we finally got to hold this giant.
