If you've had a walk around Chicago or been to the Navy Pier on Lake Michigan nearby, you no doubt stumbled across this.
The Crown Fountain designed by Spanish Artist Jaume Plensa, a block of Glass and Led's with a water spout at the front. It cost $17 Million Dollars to make and was at first a contentious choice for a water feature. It was unveiled and soon became a crowd favourite. Plensa used 1000 local Chicagoans and had them sit in a redesigned dentists chair one afternoon whilst pulling funny faces, etc

The Survivor Tree at Ground Zero, in October 2001 this Pear Tree was the Last living thing and only surviving tree pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Centre. It was taken away by tree experts and nursed back to health!. Today it is planted back at Ground Zero, representing the resilience & the strength of this Beautiful City. Representing Life growing after such a trauma. This City may have been rocked on that awful day in 2001 but it showed it will not stay down, it has risen and grown again!. #911
